photoblog image Into the Fog

Into the Fog

In 2 minds tonight, should I continue to show case my journey and evolution as a SwPP ("Semi "wannabe" pro photographer") or should I upload one of those pictures that showcase just how far I have come? How will you the observer understand the pain and hard work I have endured to get where I am, if you do not understand where I have been? INTO THE FOG The journey through life and you stop to fill up, maybe you want to stay in the bright refuge that the station briefly provides from the long dark journey ahead. There is fog but you know it's just a set back and the journey is far from over, you must go on... You drive on. "The woods are lovely, dark and deep But I have promises to keep And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep". Suby "Ars longa, vita brevis"

One question...did you use a tripod for this? What was the exposure setting?

Okay what do I think about this...I love it. Composition and all. You have a thing for cars I can see.

Jide,

Yes I used a trpod and it was manual exposure. Do I have a things for cars? Nope, just seems that the images I have pit up in the last 2 days have cars as part of their themes. (aim to change that smile )

Glad you liked this picture. It was taken on a very cold night (-4 degrees) a couple of weeks ago. The things we have to do for shots smile

Ok, if I can get past being the last to know about this site and not the first to leave a comment, I'd probably say, you're doing a fantastic job, that I'm proud of you and I'm glad it's all working out! Looks like I've lost my whinge partner (what am I going to do with my life???) but not one of my most talented best friends!!

Love you (and Sinem of course) lots!

The name given to this pic is quite Apt. Funny how it seems like the fog is clustered only in the filling station, and the theme is all about the car that's driven "into the fog". Also like the pic "Mirage" ... could pass for a painting. Awesome pics Suby.

Nice! And I'm just curious... is that real fog, photoshop or vaseline smudged over a filter?

The Maven,

That is real fog. All I did in editing the picture? Slightly increased the brightness. Was a cold and foggy night 25-Dec-05 00:11hrs.

Did not know I could achieve the same effect with Photoshop (damn why does one have to be a rocket scientist to know how to fully utilise the program? smile ) or with Vaseline.

The Maven has given me ideas to play with.
