The Lines of Caring Hands

Okay it's been one of those days so I have decided to flip things around by presenting 2 of the same images. Why? I like one of the pictures a lot more than the other, I don't know why but I just do. When I see the less favoured one, I think, nice picture, but when looking at "the one" it just seems to hit me. I would like to have your opinions people. Which one gets your boats rocking? ---- LINES OF CARING HANDS This is the ultimate picture of the seven ages of man, the cycle of being. A baby promises new life, a whole new journey through the seven ages; the grandmother is at the other end of the journey, affectionately looking at new life, knowing full well what joys and sorrows the journey will hold in store for the baby girl who is - for the time being - in the protective lines of caring hands. The beautiful grand daughter will in no time become the school girl, dragging her feet and heavy heart towards school, she will then become the beautiful, blushing bride on her wedding day, she will in time become a mother, and later a grandmother herself, affectionately gazing at a new generation of life. It is only the very beginning of this journey, compassionately embraced in a father's loving hands, enveloped by a grandmother's loving gaze. This is a tale of humankind, from the womb to the tomb. 'Cherish the young, Respect the old, For through our lives, We become both' --- Photograph by Suby. Words by Sinem & Suby -- "Ars longa, vita brevis"

Guys, thanks for the commnets so far. It seems the majority are more inclined to the colour, while my heart only skips a beat when I look at the B&W shot.

This just goes to show it's always nice to see what others opinions are. Thanks peeps.

Black and white for me. Whew... quite a variation in taste eh? Talking about that, do you prefer the white version of shutterchance or the black version? I noticed that Jide switched back to white today.

Ok, what am I focusing on here?

The child?
The holders hand?
The woman in the background?

The Maven,

I prefer the black background, I feel it makes my images stand out more. Only issure I have is with the font colour when using black. One struggles to see what is written.

MTC,

I leave that to your imagination, Thought it was quite obvious though. Refer to words written under "LINES OF CARING HANDS", it may lead to you to realisation smile
