Cool. Looks interesting. Love the way you've framed him not only with the people around him but also the colour seperation.

Since ure sick....i'll go easy on ya....;-)nice but very boring!
Suby & Sinem: Naaaaaaaa Mr Skee, you have got to tell me what else you think of the image, not to worry, I'm a strong boy and can take it. How will I ever flourish as a photographer if all I ever get is "it's alright" So come on, let me have it. (I'll do the same to you smile )
Nice use of colour separation. And hope you get well soon.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks bro, I hope I get well soon to smile
This can only sound harsh, not mad on the framing or the colour separation so it's not working for me...guess you must be really sick, get well soon.
Suby & Sinem: Ouch, that hurt smile Just wanted the guy to stand out, as it is a shot in the dark, I wanted him to be seen as the man. Oh well maybe you will like my next portrait shot, or maybe not, but pls always always leave comments, good or bad.
I love your portrait work. Very nice!
Suby & Sinem: Another man after my own heart. Thanks for the comment bro. Visit again

I like the framing, and the shot. not too mad on the colour separation. if I did it I would have partially desaturated the surrounding subjects (not fully), but then I didn't LOL. get well soon dud
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Bro, tried partially desaturating the background, did not like it. Oh well. Sinem actually prefers this shot without any desaturation, but I still didn't feel the image. Who knows, maybe you are all right and I am wrong, or vice versa smile
It's hard to pull off color separation as many view it as unauthentic and, in some ways, an overused "trick." I happen to like it here. The shot reminds me of shots of egotistic musicians. The color separation, and the way you framed the subject, add to this feeling. It's not a bad thing at all, either. It's presented effectively. Regards, Brent
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Brent, that is waht i was trying to capture, but seems not too many people in here where blown away. Love your shots to, especially the ones for today. smile

One word came to mind when I first saw this...cool. The second was "handsome."

Hope you are feeling better.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Micki, just about getting there, hate the flu (as if there was a way to love it). Glad you like the image or is it the model. lol
I like the way you have used color separation.. great work!
Hey Suby, thanks for the nice comments on my site. I just thought maybe I'd mention that I am a woman. Don't worry, I'm not offended. I've been called much worse. (By my own kids no less!)

Anyway, thanks for the great input!

Hope you are feeling better.

The sharp contrast btw th subject in colour and the rest in black and white looks rather elementary, boring and a rather tired concept that where ever I see it at the most it's done in a very un artistic way.

The same effect could have been achieved desaturrating the background and leaving a hint of colour, or yet still toning the background and surroundings to a shade of say sepia that is not too overpowering against the subject.

Moving on, The lighting seems to b a direct flash off the camera... this always produces dull, flat and harsh light on a subject as in the case above. Hence , the "Holiday snap appeal" this image at the best renders.

Learn how to make "light" your biggest asset, and you can't go wrong my dear friend! Study how Light falls on objects, how it reflects and gets absorbed too!

The difference btw a photo snapper and one who snaps photos, lies in the understanding and interpretation of light , how it is related to the subject and understanding if the picture is worth taking in the first place... the last point is very relative of course.

Hope this helps
Suby & Sinem: Ahhh, Mr Skee makes my day smile Well will take it all onboard, next time don't make me threaten you with some wup ass before you drop some words smile Thanks

yeah did a good job with the seperation, also I like the way it's framed and all. It's an attractive pic and he looks like a model/band member,a pic that could be in an album page (not cover page though)smile
