photoblog image Onset Of Spring

Onset Of Spring

More shots out of the ordinary from the Subster, still stepping out into the unknown, out of my comfort zone. This shot I took last week during my lunch break from work, on a walky just looking for anything or everything interesting or out of the ordinary to shoot when I came across this branch sticking out into the walkway. Boy did people think I looked weird, in a suit with a camera snapping a branch, it was a funny scene. :)

Can anyone tell me what processing I may have done to this shot if any?

I have decided sometime this week or next week, next challenge for myself will be "Collages" - An artwork comprising of portions of various existing images such as from photographs or prints and arranged so that they join, overlap or blend to create a new image.

Only ever played with them in the past for fun, however recently I came across some collage images that just blew me away and as usual, I have to try my hand at it and be perfect :)

ONSET OF SPRING

As drab, dreary, dreadful Winter is drawing to a close and mischievous April showers give us an early visit, nature starts donning her Sunday best, mockingly throwing her boughs, branches and blooms of a thousand hues in winter's grouchy face.

Cycle of life continues turning, leaving the darkness behind, into the light.

Doesn't nature give mankind the best lesson in life? Or as Percy Bysshe Shelley has decades ago said:

"If winter has come, can spring be far behind?"

Love it! It's a good day when you can get out to shoot at least one good photo! Who cares what the folks on the street think, just smile and hand them a business card directing them here.
As if it's reaching into the light..

Err dude, its not exactly working for me, the sky is one big visual escape line. I don't really look atthe plant at all.
great dof and compositionsmile i like overexposed hilight from the sky- give us intense contrastsmile
Great minds think alike or those sneaky plants are stalking us! Maybe both. Will wander around in your photo bloggy.

I would have loved to see a photo of you in your suit, taking the pic of this greeny with people watching, natch. ; )

Big smooch,
The Tart
