photoblog image Mona Lisa Smile

Mona Lisa Smile

Okay this is not the image I was going to put up. Been here at the PC editing some images (for the customers you see) since 20:00hrs and trying to brush up on my blending techinques, and at 00:15hrs, when I am ready to put up the image (after hours of practice) Sinem comes into the study, takes one look at the collage and goes, "naaaaa, don't like it". Why don't you put up just one of the images?

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh, noooooooo, after hrs of practice, and 45minutes of putting the images together, back to the drawing board. Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

So it's 00:41hrs, just finished uploading this image. I will give more history about this in the morning. For now. I am beat.  Good night people. Keep blogging

Nice, but I think slightly overexposed at the T zone (forehead, nose) on the face. Ms Nkemo wink
Suby & Sinem: Yhanks(finally I know, you are female phew) smile Yup I saw the overexposed zone, but burning at 00:30hrs was not exactly what I had planned for my evening. So this just had to do. smile (yeah yeah, excuses excuses sad )
Great portrait but I agree with nkemo that it is a bit overexposed.
Suby & Sinem: Awww shucks, do you guys have to notice every flaw? See it's all because of you guys I am always getting no sleep. lol Glad you liked the shot smile

I like the use of negative space for this portrait.
Suby & Sinem: Thaks Pooh, thanks for the comment. smile For the non techies visiting and reading this, Negative space is the space between objects or parts of an object, or around it. I.e negative space is the space that is not the subject.

Apart from the blown out highlight on the face, good composition, lovely b/w picture. Thumbs up!
Suby & Sinem: The Skeeeeee, thanks. Suby smiling smile You shld have seen the original of this shot, absolute pants. Ahhhhhhh the joy and beauty of CS2. Though as you have rightly pointed out, the job has not been fully done. God you guys are such hard task masters. Note to self: In next life, join a blog site where they do not know what they are talking about. smile

nice portrait Suby, guess the silent treatment is over
Suby & Sinem: Yeah baby, the Subster is back in all his glory. You all better watch out, YOU WILL ALL be made to bleed, suffer, cry, scream, for all duff images put up (except on days when I just want to be nice, THEY ARE FEW AND FAR BTW THOUGH)
Yup...this is a very well composed shot. Suby is coming up!!!
Suby & Sinem: I coming up, I want the world to know smile Watchout world. I WILL be King of the world (eat your heart out Leonardo)
nice potrait suby.. she has a lovely smile.. well done.
I won't say the obvious, nice composition though smile
Suby & Sinem: He he he he. Yeah, yeah yeah, I know.... The dreaded T zone smile
Nice shot, I'll miss out the bad point in the T zone and say the expression overcomes it!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks for the visit as usual. Yup guess her expressions overcomes all negatives about the shot smile

Love the picture (yes...except for the white patches in the head) but otherwise its a great capture. The Black and White makes it really suttle and brings out the expression.Great job!
Thanks for your comments on my blog!

You comments today are most entertaining. I'll be sending you all my loose change for your mac.

What a lovely portrait, great lighting and such a beautiful smile.
Suby & Sinem: Awww Micki, thanks, yup me will need all I can get, the wedding arrangements have all but wiped the Subster out smile
Beautiful potrait.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks for visiting, I am glad you liked smile
Great portrait, very natural looking. Lighting is good too, except for the highlights as already mentioned by others. I notice there's a bit of smudging on the left border... You should be more careful! wink
Suby & Sinem: Darn, the only guy that noticed, thought I was going to get away with it smile Thanks for the comments bro smile
Nicely framed. But Sub, what's wrong on the left side? There are some paint smudges?

Oh! I just learnt what a negative space is! Thanks Suby!
Suby & Sinem: Double darn, you guys are way too observant. Have to be more careful. You always learb with the Subster smile
Your subject's personality really seems to pour out of this picture. Warm, friendly, yet somewhat mysterious. I am intrigued!

Well done, despite the mechanics. It picks up the essence of the subject!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Dave, Glad I was able to convey all that. Visit more often smile

I agree; the harsh highlights on the face don’t do you subject justice. My m8 keeps telling me to get a mini-mac, but I make do with do with an entry level Sempron 2800+, it works for me.
Suby & Sinem: I want a Mac, only a Mac will do smile (I'm spoilt like that) Yep the harsh T zone doesn't do the image justice. Oh well, next time.... Sigh....

for me the subject and presentation conquers all! thought the smudges were part of the artwork....
Lovely b&w potrait shot. I think its a little more bright than i would have liked in the forehead area.
It's a fine shot, Suby, but it is overexposed, the expression and pose aren't very inspired. But it is what it is, a solid portrait.
