Country Idyll

***All images with this signature - Sin 06 - taken by Sinem.*** t

Hi everyone! It's three days into the beautiful month of April and Easter holiday. What else can a teacher ask for? One day left to Suby's birthday, I haven't got him a pressie yet but I do have something in mind :)

Heartened by all the positive feedback, we've decided to set my mood to "happy the hear any and all comments". I hope I am not going to regret it and put the camera - which I have only recently picked up - camera away for good.

COUNTRY IDYLL

About the photograph... This was taken on April Fools' Day in the idyllic village of Harrold in North Bedfordshire I pass by every day on my way to work. Admittedly, I had not been on this side of it but I thought about the photo opportunities the bridge over River Ouse might present. This particular photo was taken on my hike back from the bridge to my car and was the very last shot of the day as it was getting cloudy and cold and I had started getting really hungry after the *New Fad Diet* (Isn't it Micki?) of four hours of photography on an empty stomach. I didn't think much of this shot then, but when I got home and put the photos on to the pc, Suby loved it and convinced me to put it up. So what do you think? Do you agree with Suby?

I totally agree with Suby smile
This place looks very beautiful, even with the grey sky I have a great feeling seeing this photo, very well done smile
Suby & Sinem: Thank you, Dia. For me, the scenery here really represents the country idyll.Sinem

This does have a soft, idyllic quality. I especially like the greens and the flowering tree.

WOW, this is some landscape. It has a lovely dreamy feeling about it. Nice capture.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks a lot. That was the feel I wanted to create, so I am glad it's worked. Sinem
Very dreamlike. An eerie feel. Nice composition with the curb in the road !
Suby & Sinem: Thanks, Sidney. Dreamlike, isn't it just? Never felt this affectionate towards the countryside until I saw the peace and beauty it had to offer on beautiful spring days! Sinem
Wonderful shot! I like everything about it!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks for the lovely comment, David. Sinem

Nice shot, too bad about the grey sky, but it's not as if you had any control over that. Nice composition!
Suby & Sinem: Learning to play with the sky on Adobe as we speak, so I will be experimenting with the sky as soon as I get the hang of it. Thanks for the comment, Sinem

The soft focus makes this idyllic, I think.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks, Garyx, that was the effect I was hoping to get. Sinem
Gees, I think Sinem is a natural. Very nice
Suby & Sinem: Aaaaawww, thank you, Sola. I appreciate. Sinem

feels like i'm in my dreams(where nothing doesn't seem to focus). But actually, the gray skies helped the photo a little bit. If it were blue skies, the blurr effect wouldn't be realistic.
Suby & Sinem: I like dreams vwhere nothing seems to focus, but I like dreamy landscapes more smile Now that you mention it, I think you are right about the grey skies. Thanks, Sinem

Nice dream effect! A soft filter or post processing?
Suby & Sinem: Some post-processing with glow and saturation. Thanks, Sinem
Interesting shot. Has a very dreamy feel to it, can you tell me what you have done here
Suby & Sinem: Hi, Navin, thanks for the comment. I have just played around with the saturation level and added a soft glow to the picture. Sinem

Aaaaaaah, I see Sinem is getting real good at this (beats chest very proudly). Yes I agree she has got a natural eye for these sort of pictures, She has some wonderful images in her ever growing portfolio.

She has soo far impressed 2 of the guys she is always waiting to see their comements (the Skee & Asiko), so where is the 3rd? Where is ALAKIJA?

Good work Sinem so far, not the easiest of hobbies to get a handle on but by the looks of things I will soon be learning of you. smile

Love you babes. smile

Suby & Sinem: You're soooo sweet, you're sooo nice! Didn't go out shooting today, as you can guess, but will be out and about tomorrow to find more nooks and crannies in good ole Bedford- and Buckingham- shires smile to take pics that'll make you even more proud of me!
Love ya! Sinem

Great capture. I have an April birthday too. Great month.
Suby & Sinem: I love April, it's the month when nature wakes up! So which day is your birthday? Sinem
The post processing does give it an idyllic glow, even with the street and work van parked behind the fence.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks, Chris; I did actually think of cloning out the van but decided to keep it in the end. Thanks for the comment, Sinem
Lovely soft effect, nice one Suby ;-)
Suby & Sinem: Bu...buh...buh.... but... it's me, Sinem. That's my picture! smile Thanks, Ash. Sinem

Holy mackerel - I thought I'd never get to the bottom of the page! They seem to have said it all. Lovely image. i always like roads or paths that disappear round corners. They make you want to walk into the picture and see what's round there.

Did Suby feed you when you got home?
Suby & Sinem: Hahaha! I like it that way! I love roads that twist and turn in pictures as well - for exactly the same reason. Curious minds think alike? smile

Suby? Feed me? No, I had to feed myself, can you imagine? Sinem
Sinem. You have a great Eye. Suby you have trained well. I think you should stick to training.
Suby & Sinem: Finally, a word from his Highness, Alakija. smile Hallelujah, he likes my work. Ok, so the next benchmark is to get a comment from Tosin!
Thanks a lot, but Suby ain't giving up his camera - oops 'baby', Sinem
