GOLDEN SILENCE

***All images with this signature - Sin 06 - taken by Sinem.***

Another beautiful spring day, another spring image to celebrate its beauty. As beautiful as it is, this season is the most fleeting of all four. The fact that the season of rejuvenation and awakening is so brief is all the more reason to contemplate the transcience of life. The old masters wrote, "Carpe Diem" - "Seize the Day".

When you look at this dreamy afternoon landscape of the sleepy village and silent slope, spare a minute and contemplate your day. For the way you live your day is the very reflection of the way you live your life. Spring breeze will soon pass, giving way to scorching summer sun; time indeed will fly away in his "winged chariot" (Andrew Marvell, To His Coy Mistress), however, if there is one single brief thing we can savour till the last flicker of its fleeting shadow: life. Therefore, as another master will agree, go to the woods once in a while to contemplate the beauty of the world, the frailty of life, the joy of every single day, "to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life" ( Thoreau, Walden, or Life in the Woods).

***Happy Birthday, Suby, the man I'd love to "seize" every single day with for the rest of my life. ***

I like this shot - the composition is really good with the road leading the eyes through the shot and the lighting with the shadows adds a lot to it.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks a lot for visiting and your comment, Sinem

Thanks for you answer yesterday. I am lliking this series and I am inspired to play around with this glow/saturation stuff.
Suby & Sinem: No problem, hope it helpes. Glad I inspired someone to experiment. Thanks for visiting, as always, and your lovely words. Sinem
Sorry, Sinem, it's just too overprocessed for me. I can't make out too much...it really detracts from the actual shot, in my humble opinion. Otherwise, it looks like a fine shot, with potentially too much to see in this one landscape. I'm glad you're getting into photography! Regards, Brent
Suby & Sinem: Thank you for the constructive feedback, Brent, I really appreciate. I am glad I am getting into photography too.

I am loving Sinem's post, She has the eye for trying stuff I would never look at or post processing tecniques I am just not too comfortable with (I am too old school u see). Here is another image she has come up with that is pure beauty. She has an idea and she is sticking to it, it's all part of a theme/project I think she is working on.

Well I am thinking once she is comfy enough, Suby is going to switch things around and yank her out of her comfort zone and present to her some challenging shoots. Still thinking of what so if anyone has any ideas, please throw them at me smile

Love you are doing a wonderful job, extremely proud of you.

Subomi

Suby needs to buy himself a new camera for his birthday today. After looking at your work, Sinem, I don't think you should give this camera back to him. You have a wonderful eye.
Suby & Sinem: Please refer to the reply I posted for Asiko regarding the camera. No luck there, I'm afraid. But not to worry, my hands are glued on to his camera! Thanks a lot for your kind words, they inspire me.

Nice idyllic country side. I think Sinem is doing very well! Yeah, keep the camera. Suby will be overjoyed to have the excuse to go out and buy a 5D!
Suby & Sinem: Please refer to the reply I posted for Asike above regarding the camera. Unfortunately, no new camera, fighting over the one we've got. I am winning smile

Super! Very nice. You don't need to move far off the road to find spring, and the curve of the road adds nicely to this shot.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks a lot, John.
Happy Birthday Suby, hope you have a good one.

Splendid in every way: composition; content (follow that road); postprocessing. You seem to have found yourself a niche. I take it this is Bedfordshire again? Anywhere near Bletsoe that I visited recently? It's another lovely Beds village that prompted me to click away. I'll post some soon.

When you've both got Canons, it'll be war!

This shot does more than bring an object to view -- it draws the viewer into its peace and rst. Good eye.
