HAND IN HAND

"Remember, we all stumble, every one of us.  That's why it's a comfort to go hand in hand. " ~Emily Kimbrough

This photo was taken in Wolverton a few days ago in Wolverton - one of the surrounding little villages in Milton Keynes, before I had gathered the courage to go to the shopping centre to take street shots, but I thought it'd be nice to continue with the theme of the "journey" we make through life.

HAND IN HAND

Life is a challenging track at its best, with its ups and downs and trials and tribulations to test us on the road to growth, wisdom and maturity. The journey is much easier, much more worthwhile with a soul mate - to share the beauty of the sights we come across on the way, to give us strength through the tricky trail, to pick us up and carry us through when we are down and out. Yes, we do not always have to go two by two in life, like the animals going into Noah's Ark, but there is nothing like the warmth of the beloved's hand to give you the strength that you need to make it through the day and the mere conviction that, whatever life throws at you, you are loved.

Hand in hand, the journey is so much more fun.

ps. Suboms, thank you for giving me your hand (and your blog) :)

I was confused but I think I get it now, Suby and Sinem are BOTH posting here?

I like both this and the previous shot a lot. They have a lot of meaning to me. I particularly like the tone here. Very nice.

Now for Suby; (I tried to leave a message for you, but I don't think it went through since I got a weird error message after I hit post, so here it is again.) I want to thank you for the info about Scott Kelby's books. Someone else had pointed me towards his books, the only problem I have is that I use PS 6, and the books for that version are only available as used, so I have been trying to figure out how to get my hands on a copy. (I am chicken of buying things, particularly used things, On-line.) Anyway, I really just wanted to thank you again for the advise and the support you have shown me with my forrays into this photography stuff.

Really great photo, creates a good feeling even without your lovely words--which were an added bonus. Love the sepia toning, it helps to make the shot ageless.
Those trees are just so detailed I love it more than the people. And that path is nice with the shaved ground.Great shot and really suits the Sepia tone smile

This one hit me very hard. Very powerful words to go with this image. Those last words are so very true. Even when we are alone, we really aren't.
