photoblog image ONE MORE CUP OF COFFEE

ONE MORE CUP OF COFFEE

Another clever product placement, I hear you say... No, really, I am not getting paid by these companies, but maybe I should consider selling these photograph. You've recently seen my attempts at street photography through sneaky means, today you've got a photo that is a result of striking a smile at strangers and seeing where that takes you (Yes, this time, I did ask for their permission.) Luckily for me, the couple that were having coffee were really friendly and easy-going and didn't mind me taking their photos. I hope to meet more people like them on my next expedition!

Without, further ado, I'd like to present today's photo with a question which delves into the depths of your psyche:

Name the first thing/adjective/feeling you associate coffee with? (My response was pleasure.)

Why?

You may just find that out tomorrow :)

First thing after reading the title? Coffee breath! My wife reels if I get too close after coffee, so I'm a bit paranoid about it when I have meetings in the office. Coffee - chewing gum freshener; repeat.

What I love about this picture (apart from the pretty lady) is the way the background seems to be umpteen shades lighter than the subject. Did you process it this way, or was it sheer good fortune?
Nice casual capture. I don't drink much coffee but the words that pop to my mind when I think of coffee are "caffeine" and "low-level drug." I like the capture here; I think it's maybe a little overdone with the glow but that's a personal preference. Cheers, Brent

nice one Madam, i like the soft touch. I love the smell of rich coffee, hate the taste, except if drwoned with loadsa loadsa sugar
Hmmm...mine was "huh" because I'm very curious as to what she's looking at or what is prompting her expression.

And no I don't think of coffee or starbucks in this shot.

Good softening.
Suby & Sinem: Jide, have you realised that you are the only one to actually refer to "STARBUCKS" in this image?

So I DO GUESS the image really did make you think of STARBUCKS & coffee smile

Image was ACTUALLY taken at Starbucks(with permissions from management and subjects of course). What was she looking at? She was having a conversation with her partner. I think Sinem just asked them to go about their business while she snapped them. Maybe one day Sinem will post a picture of them both, you then get your wish as to what she was looking at and what prompted the expression smile

Not my favourite from you but no doubt a great image - although she looks a bit drunk :-P but I'm really impressed with that glow.

Good contrast between your subject and the background. I'm trying to show my smile to my candid subjects too, but I haven't got the courage. Haha.
Ectasy, seriously I can't live without coffee...Love the photo!

Another good shot. Made me get up and grab a cup this morning, which I don't usually do when it is this warm. I'm a winter time coffee drinker.

I love the softness on this shot, very good!!

First thought...my Grandma. She drank coffee all day long.
Nice shot, the soft effect really works here.

The slight haze and "bright" glare over the photo much like I do. A photo doesn't always sharp have to be.
I like the slight haze effect on this.
One more muffin to go with that coffee...?

how do we know that is coffee she is ordering (or drinking) opposed to a beer or a milkshake, maybe this is just a front organization for huge food industry comglomerates poised to finally take over our minds (and wallets) or I could have just been hiking all day in the sun turning my brain into mush; nice photo though

It's an ok enough photo but it just seems cheesy (apparently my comment word of the day) to me with the title and soft focus. and you seem anything but cheesy.
can't do without coffee. my day hasn't started until i've had my obligatory mug of coffee uhmmm.... however it would have been nicer to have more of the cup in the shot.

Very soft indeed. Background just blends in white. any postprocessing?
I love coffee! Nice softness in this image!
Fun shot - I'll chime in and say coffee is a neccessary part of my morning and this iamge captures that expression to me anyway. One thing I've missed since moving to Belgium is good dark drip coffee - esspresso is nice and instant Nescafe makes me shudder but that's mostly what I get unless I brew it @ home smile
