CHAINED

Suby and I (Jekyll and Hyde, as some say - it's just an urban legend don't believe everything you hear...) spent a few hours in London today, on a photography expedition, mostly fighting over the camera : - ) You will probably get a chance to see the fruits of our hard labours in the next couple of days.

For today though, I'd like to post a photo I took the very first day I got my paws (Sorry I we are the proud owners of a little kitten now, so I think in cat terms these days!) on the precious 20D. I'd like to hear your comments on this one.

Sinem (not Suby) : - )

A new kitten you say well check out my latest posts! You are a cat-lover!!Great photo.
Very nice! I like the green hue on this one. Interesting angle as well.
Sinem: if you would have asked me if you took this shot early after getting your paws on the cam or later, I would have said later. That's only because this is a very different shot than what I am used to seeing from you; it's not a lanscape or a round guy outside a BK. smile I think the rule of thirds works here. But honestly? I think I need something more in this shot. I dunno. I could be wrong. Cheers.

Interesting angle, and the green hues are a nice touch. I think you should have given the shot a bit more DOF though, to get the chains in focus as well. This would make a good stock photo...
Seems like you all had fun, sorry I couldn't meet up, Duane, John and I didn't finish till 3am last night. Exhausted!!

Looks HDR but I'm sure it's not wink

Great shot.
Suby & Sinem: Hi, Jide... Thanks for the comment. No, it's not HDR. I don't think I am confident enough to try it yet. Even if I was, I guess Suby would do his best to dissuade me : ) Sinem

It's an example of that wonderful eye you seem to have been born with. Love this shot!
Hey, thanks for stopping by my site lately. I like this photo. I know someone suggested a greater DOF, but I find that with the chains slightly out of focus, the lock really stands out. I like the lighting and the perspective.

Cheerio!

I think the hues in this are incredibly lovely. Who knew a chain and padlocked door could be so striking. You have a great eye.

Cool shot. Really peculier and the colours are mad!! Where has that green tint come from ?
Great color, especially the reflection in the metail.
I think too much green here - and I don't like the green - but I guess that's what makes this interesting.I feel the blur on the chain linkcs above the lock are un-neccessary.Overall good shot.
Great shot. Love the perspective and upclose way you got it. Very groovy baby!

Smooch,

Psssssssst. LoVe the green tint & congrats on the baby cat. = ^..^=

Smoochy purrssssssss,

I really like the composition of this and especially the colour tones. The point of focus appears to a little off as it appears to be crisper around the back of the post and at the top of the frame, maybe this was intentional? Still a really nice choice of shot though.
