photoblog image BEMUSED

BEMUSED

This photo is for Bruno from Sweden who wanted to see more coffee shots and Jide Alakija from Great Britain who wanted to see what the lady (13/04/06) was looking at. Voila! Here is the lady's partner, looking at her affectionately, rather bemused by the story she was enthusiastically telling him.

Saturday morning coffee at leisure on a beautiful spring day, an enchanting story, savouring the taste of your brownie and latte, simple pleasures of life that get us going through the day, through the week, through life. Knowing that just around the corner, just over the hill, just after the hard toil, there is something precious to look forward to...

This weekend, take a break, take a deep breath, take a trip. Go to the sea... Maybe to the countryside... Maybe just the coffeeshop around the corner. Take a book with you, or a good friend, take your eyes and your ears along to enjoy the sights and sound, to be enchanted by a simple story, without a care of what has gone by and what is to come. Be bemused, be thrilled, be overjoyed!

This weekend, resolve to occasionally "stand and stare".

We have no time to stand and stare."

Nice shot Sinem, however, the dynamic range in this duotone is very small, it needs a contrast boost! I see alot of shots like this on shutterchance that are good, some very good, but they lack a good range of tones. I know in the past, i've been quite outspoken on such things so today i'm leading by example. I've posted a makeover job from yesterdays posts on shutterchance. The picture kinda had the same problem to yours. Any that aside... your doing a great job!

Most partners are less than willing to pose for public shots. Good on him!

Quite a nice shot, but perhaps you could have gave the tones more contrast.

Me likey, I see what Sinem tries to portray in her images, she is not one to go down the contrasty route or dark route as I normally do, she likes soft images like the one above. She is still finding her way round CS2(although she has got really good for someone who just started learning).

I for one think this image is fine, adding a bit more contrast may be okay, however I know thats not the image she was trying to portray smile

Friendly face!!

Have a great weekend!!
Not as good as I would expect your photos to be but none the less it is a nice shot great sepia - and he looks sort of stunned.Nice shot.
Hi, Sinem. I couldn't agree more with Skee. That's the first thing I noticed: lack of contrast. If you don't want a lot of contrast, just increase it slightly so that the image isn't as flat. I don't see why this image has to be so delicate considering the sepia-like effect doesn't, for me at least, conjure up the spring coffee Saturday morning you reference to. Cheers, Brent

I am glad Sinem is improving and learning new stuff, she is also eveolving her style which is good. kick Suby off this blog and let him get his own, then we can decide who is the better photography.
