Looking Back

Suby STILL in the House.

Been a busy busy day for me. Work busy, home work(photography) busy. Sinem & I been in the study since I came back from work, me editing some pictures, her doing what teachers always do... mark papers and prepare lesson plans.

Gosh, Jeez, is that the time? (22:40hrs). Have not had anything to eat, bum and back hurts from seating all day. Okay peeps, gats to jet. I hope you like the image above. Taken on Friday last week just outside work.

Let me know what you think.

Looking Back

I always knew that looking back at the tears would make my laugh, but I never knew that looking back at the laughs would makeme cry~unknown

Processing: Conversion to monochrome in Lab, channels -red. Gray scale, layers. Adjustment layers using curves a little sharpen here and there and presto. :)

A lovely woman open to be photographed. A good photo -- whimsical, happy, refreshing.
Suby & Sinem: Actually she was trying not to be photographed when I took this. The power of the zoom lens smile Thanks for the comment.
lovely bw contrast....beautiful silky black...awesome!
Suby & Sinem: Yup, I actually will agree with you on that one. Thanks for the comments

stunning, very nice and very nice work with photoshop. i love that most of this shot is dark, it gives her face more beauty smile
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Bro, You have some skills as well with CS2, like the work you posted up. Yup I purposely darkened the shot and lightened the face to bring even more emphasis on it. Glad I did that now smile Suby

Really really nice shot Suby, you're really coming up...I like it. Watch out everyone Suby's back
Suby & Sinem: Not really, just filling in for Sinem while she is taking care of some work. Hopefully she will be back posting today or tomorrow. She has got some lovely images that she is hiding from the world. All i need is to tie her to the PC and get her to work on them smile Thanks.

I still cannot believe she was trying so hard to avoid the camera - her smile is so open and inviting. Genuine as well, since it reaches her eyes. Beautiful!

What do you mean Suby is "really coming up"? He is thev master of portraits. smile
Suby & Sinem: Awwww, thanks love, bigging up your man. Cannot believe she was trying hard to not be photographed. She looks "well nice" (stealing your kids talk) in the shot.

Suby.

Is it me, or is anyone else confused? When it was Suby's blog, Sinem was posting, with answers to comments labelled Suby:.., only it was Sinem. Now it's Sinem's blog with answers to comments labelled Sinem:.., only it's Suby.

You two are doing my head in, but it's still a cracking shot Siby (or Sunem).
Suby & Sinem: God Bro, you are doing my head in here. After reading the above, I to am confused as to whose blog it is smile. Okay I will change it around so that it reads Suby. It's just that as Sinem was bisy, my intention was to post only for a day or 2 and then step back again. Just for you, I'kll change. Suby
Very candid smile
Suby & Sinem: Thanks bro smile Suby
Ooh...in response to Chunter's comments I have a novel idea, it's a bit thinking outside the box or as the americans would say out of left field! Stay with me as I try and explain though as it may get complicated. Here's the plan...you could have a blog where you could post your pictures and Sinem could have a blog where she posts hers. I've not really thought it through but i think it might just work...

...I'll get my coat.
Suby & Sinem: You are killing me here, Wow what a novel idea, you sure it will work? Yup get your coat, your job is done. We thinking about it, maybe when I have bought the famous 5D or dreamy Mark II, then we will have seperate blogs. As long as we share the 20D, we gats to share the blog baby smile

Whoa there BeakerSt - that's a bit too rocket science for me. (Don't worry about your coat - I'll bring it for you, after I've thrown my 5D at Suby.)
Suby & Sinem: Hey I'm waitng for the 5D to drop into my lap, where it it, where is it?

Very cool and what a great looking person in the photo very nice
Suby & Sinem: Yup she gooood looking. Hope she reading this smile Suby
Is this a girl you know, Suby? I ask because now that I've got the new 70-200mm lens, I want to go take some outdoor captures of strangers but I don't feel comfortable or right about doing that yet. Anyway, nice candid and expression. Cheers, Brent
Suby & Sinem: Yep she is a friend from work. For outdoor shoots, depending on the lenses I use, I sometimes either walk up to strangers and ask for their permission to shoot them, you will really be surprised at the amount of yeses you get if you are very nice, friendly and upbeat about your request. I always have my cards on hand in case they want to call me or visit my site. Also a nice way to drum up some buisiness. On the flip side, when using the zoom lens(my baby) I just stand, point and shot, I always ensure I am in a public place, do not shoot kids (unless granted permission by parents) and try not to look creepy smile You just have to learn to build your confidence in this style. So get up and do some street shots this weekend. Suby

Really lovely shot. Was this a set up shot or did you catch her on the streets looking back at you smile Great expression and nice uniform tones here which makes her face stand out very well smile GREAT shot man!
Suby & Sinem: This was not set up at all. She was actually trying her best not to get snapped however, on look back and half a secon was all it took to capture this gem. A little bit of CS2 magic to enhance the shot and presto. Thanks for the feedback. Come again. Suby
This is a lovely portrait, the attitude and expression of the character is really natural. I just imagine that you could have tell her a seconde before something like "Wow what a beautiful bird !" grin
Suby & Sinem: I tried mate, but as she was trying her best not to let me get a shot of her, this was the only opportunity I had. It actually came out realy really natural. Thanks for the visit and comments.

Suby,
You say "the power of the zoom lens," but this shot was only at 110mm. Even at 1.5x, you were still close. Really good work.
Suby & Sinem: Darn there is always one, one to put you right when you make a bubu. Darn yooouuuuuuuuuu Fraser smile I agree with you bro, read right when I was writing it smile Thanks for the comments. Hope you are having a rocking weekend. Suby
