Suby back in the House.

23:45hrs. Not feeling too good, Sinem busy with marking and preparing lesson plans. Just woken up. No picture to put up between both of us. Between trying to rustle up something to eat, running upstairs to the study to look for a picture, edit it and post up (God, where are my super powers?) and the darn headache I have.....(aww shut up Suby and stop moaning).

Okay, sorry cannot think of a title yet. Anyone care to suggest one?

Processing:Some done :)

Lesson plans? What lessons?

Now I see you need more dynbamic range, your sky's blown out.

Title: What are they looking at?
Suby & Sinem: Left the sky looking that way as I could not be bothered to do anything to it. On looking back and playing with the original... Naaaaaa like it this way. Sky will just help distract from the shot.
Lesson plans for her kids, she a teacher at a high sch. for now(Next step lecture at Harvard). Thats the life of a teacher smile

Title? Swiss Miss.

Well, it's not a hit with me, for once. I can see it's well exposed, sharp and all the right things, but the content doesn't do anything for me. The guy has a lamp growing up his back, the middle lady's at her WITZ end and the other lady's pooped her pants.

But for once, I see the Union Jack is displayed the right way up.
Suby & Sinem: Colin, Colin, Colin, though about clonning the lamp out, but did not like the way it came out, was actually a lucky shot, just saw them standing here and descided in the split of a second, "why not". The fact they are looking at something else and the expressions and angle of the shot is what does it for me. Oh well. smile Suby

I would love to know what the three of them were looking at, looks like they almost had a collision. Maybe you could call it a Swiss Near Miss?
Suby & Sinem: I like that title. maybe I will nick it. Don't remember what they where looking at myself. Wish I had paid more attention when taking the shot smile Thanks for the comments. Suby

hmmmmmm............ i like b&w processing, I don't know what the shot is trying to portray
Suby & Sinem: Thats the trick, image portraying anything, we seem to be losing the art of just displaying images. There is no hiden/central/focal meaning/point to this shot. Make of it what the viewer wants. How't the trip to the homeland going? smile

By your comments above, did you shoot this with no focus in mind? Surely something must have made you flip the shutter open...
Suby & Sinem: Okay you caught me out, just bent down, put my lens close to the floor and hoped for the best smile As I said saw them standing there and just thought taking a shot from a different angle with the Switz building as a backdrop would be nice. Actually came out better than I hoped smile

Suby, I must appreciate you taking time and posting constructive criticism on my page and all over www.aminus3.com . Thanks! I like comments like the you you leave.(Some people leave good comments so that they visit you back, but you are not like that). This picture would have been just another ordinary shot, had it not been the low angle. Low angle is something that I need to experiment. I have seen many such good examples.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Shuva, I know what you mean, sometimes I am too busy to really put up critiques, but I I try not to say "nice" or "I like" when I really do not feel the image. Yup I feel the low angle really works for this shot. Thanks for the comment. Suby

I like tha angle. B&W works well too.

I'd hate for that to be my behind in the picture though...lol.
Suby & Sinem: He he, never let me stand behind you with a camera in that case smile

very nice b&w
I don't mind the blown sky; I've been overexposing them for years now. I like the shot. It's a very interesting perspective; very creative...I like that. Cheers, Brent
I like the angle you took the photo from. A real feel of frozen reality.
