Blurry Star

Tired Suby in the House.

Another weekend over, nooooooo, aaaaahhhhhhh, not even had a chance to rest, my weekend was even busier than my week.

23:00hrs, just back from London, just enough energy to drag myself to study, grab image, edit and post.

This is my blurry star of a niece. She was playing(yes teens still "play" with things like this and are not always stuck on the internet chatting to their mates) with a holla hoop some weeks ago and ofcourse there was Uncle as usual with his camera. I like this shot cause of it's simplicity, just a teen having fun.

What is that flare in the image Suby? "It is a lens flare(movie prime), added with the help of CS2"

So why have you added it to the shot for God's sake Suby? "Well cause I can & I wanted to, and also cause I thought it added a little something to the shot. Not something I would do everyday but what the hell, it's a Monday, have to put up something that makes me smile and this shot does, so there"

Editing: None apart from adding the lens flare and framing. (oh and adjusting white balance)

A BIG THANK YOU to all those who visited over the weekend. I am really sorry I have not had the chance to respond to your comments or visit you blog sites. Things are really crazy for Sinem & I and will be for the next few weeks, at least till the wedding is over :) I will however try my best to visit your blogs as often as I can, hell no am I going to deprive myself of making someone cry/upset with my comments (oh sorry that was meant to be constructive criticism).

Not sure about this one Suby. Too many things happening in it.
Suby & Sinem: Hence for that reason, me post the shot. Tired of all the minimalistic shots I have been posting lately. Think I am starting to loose the plot a little. Been putting shots that I think people will like. Hey what about shots that Suby likes? Oh well, think I will do that for a little, bear with me my friend. smile Suby

Hmmmm..... in all honesty I would have said why stop at the lens flare (which btw is very nice)? Its a shot crying out for utter craziness and could have messed about a lot more with colours, etc. So for me its sits uncomfortably between conventionality and utter zaniness. But what do I know? Heck You've seen some of the rubbish on my blog but still. And... I know the feeling of wanting to put up a shot just because you like it and you can. And for that, I salute u, Sir Suby ;-)
Suby & Sinem: Awww thanks Bro, your comments made me smile, and for that you earn a BIG THANKS from the Subster. We need more smiles in the world smile Hey I have not seen rubbish on your blog, I have seen images from a fellow prosumer who is improving with each passing day with his posts. You do deliver some stonkers sometimes. smile
nice lens flare you added - kind of adds soething to the image - and kinda distracting at the same time - Im not sure -
Suby & Sinem: Yeah I know what you mean, but thats the aim. smile
Suby.
P.s
Don't you dare put up such a stonking shot as you have today. See me comments on your post smile

Intresting shot, I'd go without the lens flare. Adding something to the photo that was originally there (in this case a lens flare on the finger) usually means that the image is lacking something. But here, I dont think its lacking anything. Just leave it the way it was without the flare.

But from what I read, if it makes you happy go for it. Not all images apeal to everyone and if it doens't, then thats how you know its more special because some only see what you see and that just sounds cool to me.

I hope you have a better week.
Suby & Sinem: I hope so to, I like your comments. On a normal day, I would definitely not have added the flare, but you know, it looked cheesy(thanks for the word Veloran) and made me smile more at the shot. So it was all go stations, post, maybe I will be able to make someone out there feel like a star smile

I think it's kind of neat. I think it would be cool with or without the flare.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Laurie, I'm glad you like it(with or without flare) You reading people? smile Suby

Hmmm it's ad odd picture - I just don't get it.Looks like out of a TV show about a kid with special powerss - that star looks photoshopped totally. Not for me sad
Suby & Sinem: Yep the star is SO PHOTOSHOPED TOTALLY. Thats the reason it's in there. smile Thanks for the comments. Maybe you will get the next image I put up (no have to find a shot that I guess you probably won't like ) )
Actuall it is a greta shot but could have been better had your neice been wearing something other than yellow. Something that could blend in with the background and highlight the hand more.
Suby & Sinem: Oh well, I wish i was a zillionaire, then I would be able to afford a life of leisure. Oh, just remembered, we don't always get what we want. smile Okay on a serious tip, I could have easily created that effect with the magic of CS2, but why do it, it would have then been a different image. nice shot. my dear guy this would have been nicer if there wasn't so much going on, simplicity is sometimes very good. i have a shot like this that I may put up some time soon.
Suby & Sinem: Well there isn't really soo much going on. Oh well, as I pointed out to Jide, the manimalistic concepts of images these days sometime bore me. Once in a while it's good to throw on or 2 different images into the mix. I don't espect all to like it, but will keep doing it. Variety they say, is the spice of life smile Suby Yhanks for commenting bro. You back now?

This one's a bit over my head; can't say I like it. My first impression was of someone showing off a new diamond ring - the hand is beautiful - but only by reading your summary did I know anything about a hula hoop. There's not enough in the picture to show what she was doing.
Suby & Sinem: Colinnnnnn, wazzzzuppppp Bro? Ofcourse I have other pics that tic all the boxes, that show all she is doing, that does not have the flare, that.... (okay me bored now). This is different, (really it's not that different but see how much troble a simple lens flare can cause smile ) and makes me smile. So wjhile the Subster is putting up images that make hime smile, you have to like it OR ELSE... (you talking to me Punk? Make my day.... ) LOL Suby

Suby, you're sounding a little stressed out, and it's only Monday. I'm worried about you, man! This should be a very interesting week ahead here!

That is a really cool flare.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Micki, just have soo much to do and so little time to do it (hey I am allowed to wingh) Truly I am fine, just that when I am in moods like this, I do not know wether to be nice or horrible. Oh well anyone post a duff image, we will see if Suby is feeling nice or mean after his comments have been posted. In the meantime, as I am busy (mostly with work) and plans for the wedding, think I will queue my images for the nest week or 2. At least that way there is something for people to see on me blog. Would not want to dissapoint you know.

Loving the comments this shot is receiving as i knew it will, see I don't have to tick all the boxes all the time. As long as one is proud of their shots, they have the right to post. It's when images that are not liked are posted that I get tickled the wrong way. Anyway I bore you. Just had a 5 minutes break. Suby

Umm... Not my kind of shot, definately. The flare looks really cheesy...
Suby & Sinem: Hence Bro, the reason why I posted the image, cheesy is good. Can't please you guys all the time you know, me going for "shots Suby likes" over the next few days, stay tuned, you may actually like one or 2. Comment as always PLEASE smile Suby
tbyte12 has asked u who it is in the picture!!! Anyways i like it.....!!!!!!!!!! dn't knw y evry 1 else doesnt!
Suby & Sinem: Wonder where my Sister learnt French? Last time I checked she lived in the US not France smile Thanks for the translation. As to the image, when I put it up I knew it would not be to the taste of some people. You know what, I would have probably got away with it if I had not added the flare, HOWEVER, that would have been boring, me like to court controversy smile And it looked cheesy (as Veloran points out), but most importantly IT MAKES ME SMILE. smile

No that is what it is all about.
oh soz dint realise u answered him (tbyte12 that is)
Suby & Sinem: Incubus, it's a Her smile Tbyte12 is my harshest critique - My lovely older sister. Oh well, you see where I get it from smile Suby
I like the DOF and the flare producing a good composition Nice shot Suby
Suby & Sinem: Thanks for the comments, seems we have a mixed bag of people who like it and those that don't, wonder who will win. The Likeys or the no likeys smile Suby

hey suby. like the dof in this image. but i have to say that i don't really like the lens flare. maybe if it would be only the flare, but it seems to me that photoshop screwed it up! sorry, but this doesn't work for me!
Suby & Sinem: Hey no need to apoligise, did not expect everyone to like it. I'm just glad you left your HONEST opinion, that counts a lot to me. Not easy leaving comments smile

I like it because it is interesting. I love simplicity in a lot of photography but this is really fun. I think the flare is a neat touch.

Aaarrggghhh! Changed my mind - love it, love it, love it. No need to send the boys round!
It doesn't work for me. I don't like the star. The image without the effect would have been much stronger, in my opinion. Regards, Brent
