Amy

Suby In the House.

Queue Shot 12

Amy, the sweetest friend of mine who is always willing to sacrifice her time to pose for the Subster. Taken on another one of those Fridays during my lunch break from work about a month ago.  Roped Amy into coming outside the building to pose for a few a shots for me. She was really game and since then done quite a number of shoots with her.

Thanks girl. Know you have seen this image before but not this version, what do you think?

THAT Freakin border is spoiling your shots....This is lovely except the border...ARGH!!
Suby & Sinem: He he he he he, The Subster likes the borders, so they stay. God I am soo annoying smile

Thanks for the comment bro. Suby
Did you use a flash Suby? The light is quite harsh on the right side of her face
Suby & Sinem: Actually that was the sun but I wanted that effect, wanted that side of her face to be lighter, actually wanted a darker left side but maybe another time. Thanks for the comments bro.
Suby
A little hot on her nose, I think. I'm not sure about the lue cast, I think a simple grayscale would have been more effective. Agree with Jide about the border (I'm surprised I haven't said anything about it). The way you framed her is beautiful. Regards, Brent
Suby & Sinem: Hey one has to expirement once in a while. Never posted an image like this before, so how do I know if it works or not if I do not let you guys have your say. Expirement baby. It makes the world go round. smile

How oh how do you get such nice pictures? This looks like something cut out of a magazine! Also, is it because I'm a novice that I don't notice things that others seem to?... I think she looks great... She must love this picture... I do and I'm not even her.

As I always say, "You can never go wrongs with photo's of pretty girls"

WIL:
-Vertical shot. You have logic my friend. smile
-Amy's cute smile
-Detail of her hair

WIDL:
-Color, I think the normal BW or just plain color will do just fine.

Good shot, very nice. Though, I'm not diggin, but it still is very nice from an artistic standpoint in my book. Even though the colors are not my taste, it still gives off a very nice look.

8.8/10
Suby & Sinem: The Reza, man, you have been derelict in your job on Shutterchance bro. I found a few shots yesterday that needed your assitance to help boost em up. Where were you bro. Me thinks we are starting ignore the new fols who have come to Shutterchance to learn.

Now me want you to ignore the usual suspects and comment on the newbies, make them cry, make them bleed... oh sorry, help point them in the right directions on the post and their photography. This goes also goes for all the oldies on shutterchance. No more, cool, Nice comments on newbies blogs (thats if they dare to go Red).

Okay to your comments on my post, the tone is just an expirement, never done it beforew and wanted to see if it would pass the muster. I actually have another shot cued up that is similar to this coming up I think in 2 days, Would like to know what you think.

Love the detail in the hair,

The blow out on the righthand side seem to be caused by the toning.

A tip on toning human beings, all shades are normally ok but stick to the warmer shades!

Just figured out what those silly SHmoods are for, never pay attention to them ;-)

Reza seems to have covered everything else, Satuday, Suby the countdown is on smile

Oga,
I like this picture, it looks like the solution to a picture I had but never really figured out how to get there.

As for the borders, I second Jides motion.

Excellent portrait. Great pose & expression, and I really like the soft colouring of this. I'll join the anti-border camp though, I find it somewhat distracting.

Amy looks really sweet indeed! Love her pose on this photo and I like the color tone, but I think I would have still preferred a warmer one.
I am interested to know if you can put into words, why you love the borders so much. I know that you do, but I would very much like to know how you think it adds to your photos or how it improves them in some way. If you have an answer, I will never bother you again with this question, I promise smile!
Suby & Sinem: Okay to answer the questions about the borders.

Does it add anything to my photos? You know what most times it probably doesn't and sometimes it does. I however like to feel that images I post on the blog are posted with my full attention, dedication & love. Also it does make me stand out from the other bloggies out there. I know not everyone likes them, but you know what? I LIKE EM, I LIKE THE LOOK and Suby is very Stubborn.

On a serious tip. If for one moment I felt it was taking away from my images or distracting from them, I would not do it. For now it isn't (or so I make myself think smile )

Now that leads on to something else. Know sometimes comments made on our blogs can make you change your mind on stuff one puts up, however, it's all about sticking to your guns if you feel passionate about something. I have my style and will hone my style until it is the accepted norm. ME LIKEY BORDERS, SO BORDERS STAY.

Ella please feel free to "bother" the Subster any time you want. Love dialogue.

As to the shot, just wanted to see what you guys would think of this tone, 1st time I have ever used it. There is another shot I have queued up for either tomorrow or Friday I think that has this same tone. Please let me know what you think when it pops up. It's all about experimenting isn't it. Sometimes we get it right sometimes we don't

The experiment's successful in my book. Nothing wrong with this blue toning. Depends how you want to use the image.

I'd love to see a brighter catchlight in the eyes, but the direct look and the hair teased over the shoulders are very attractive. And I'm sure I can't be the only one to notice that you've included just a hint of cleavage for a subtle playful tease.
Very nice shot, nice expression.

This is a fine portrait with good, strong eye contact. Dunno about the frame though - I'm not sure it's doing the picture any favours.
