Jade

Suby In the House.

Queue Shot 21

Ahhh, this picture took me lots of begging, pleading and bullying before I was allowed to take a picture of sweet Jade. When taking the shot, I was only allowed one snap of the shutter. Darn girl, you are a hard girl to snap.

Jade I hope you feel I have done you some justice?

The sun was bright and shining when taking the shot, it was behind me and shecould not look in my direction.. I'm just glad I got a shot of her :)

Sorry dude, looks like a simple snapshot to me. The light is very unflattering and you've already got the thing about the eyes. Since you were allowed only one snap i think you could have spent more time setting up the shot. Just my $0.02.

Not every shot needs to be a "masteriece" to be a "valid" shot. I think natural shots that capture the essence of someone are sometimes the best ones you could ever get. They don't always have to be studio perfect. "Snapshots" when well done are just as valid as studio shots. Goota run, I'd say more but a massive thunderstorm is upon me and I want to disconnect the compy before it blows. Cheers.

Fantastic portrait, loving it, except methink the sun could have given you better lighting on this one : at a diff angle the shadow downwards from face looking odd.Stupid Sun.
Anyways GREAT GREAT SHOT!

Its a nice capture but nowhere near to the standard of some of the portraits you have on here, a little fill flash would have been enough to brighten the eyes and lift the pic methinks, you will just have to use your extensive charms to get the lady to sit for you again..
I'm beginning to think that this is the style you have chosen to develop....taking simple snapshots, you have a lot of them in your archive and so I'll judge them based on that fact. This is a good one for that.

I have a daughter who only gives me one shot. You did much better than I usually do. Maybe after Jade sees this, she'll pose more willingly for you.

I agree with Jide's comments. Its great for what you were trying to achieve. Still I think it would def have benefited with some flash.. what do you think?

Suby, my brother. It's a snapshot. I know that you could do better. Of course, if this is your intent, then you've accomplished it. Sometimes you just gotta grab the shot. Also, I think that with your PP skills you could have cleaned up the hard shadows just a bit. No?

However, that said, it is a decent candid moment. There is no intimacy here because there is no eye contact, but what am I telling you this for? You already know. Sometimes you put up a photo just to "bait" us and see if you'll get any constructive comments. smile

Well, I hope that you are enjoying the heck out your honeymoon!

I understand u only had one shot man. I think it looks a little grey though. More contrast i think would help..

hmmm... nicely framed but it lacks the wow factor!
Nice potrait. A little dark under the eyes, however given the tight situation it seems fine.
