Edith, Again

Suby In the house.

A shot taken at the same time as http://suby.shutterchance.com/photoblog/1805.htm

Decided to post a shot that has little Post Processing done. Think when I edited this it took me less than 10 seconds :)

Processing: This shot has been slightly edited in Picasa. Converted to monochrome and a little sharpen added  THATS ALL.

Nice Car! just kidding

The processing works well here Suby. I'm impressed that it only took a few seconds. Usually the quick conversion to mono doesn't turn out very well, but this one looks pretty good. I think the photo could be a little stronger if more of the car was included, hard to say.
Suby & Sinem: It actually looks good with more of the car in focus, but then you now have 2 things to focus on which was not the aim smile Truth is most time, the simplest editing (or no editing at all) is the best way forward. Knowing when to or not to apply this is so like trying to find the holy grail smile
Suby
Nice. Liking this.
As pointed out by Timmy, probably more of the car in view might have been a good thing.
Suby & Sinem: Naaaa, me not think soooo. Have a picture with the most of the car in veiw, Maybe oneday I will post up smile

Ah back to portraits to recover from the failure of the last shot ;D
Just kidding man,

Anyways, the only issue I have here is the hair is too sharp, blurry smooth hair always looks better for me.Otherwise Picasa did a great job with the toning.

GREAT GREAT SHOT!!
Suby & Sinem: Haaa, the shot yesterday was not a failure, It was an exercise just to see what you my fellow prosumers would think of the shot. To tell the truth, I did not feel the shot one bit, but I was not going to tell you guys that until I heard what you had to say smile it it sometimes good just to post up shots you think that the veiwers may not feel just to see what type of reactions and comments one gets. Good for the soul smile

Nice portrait! The sidelighting exposes your subject's features very well. And her pose is very dynamic. It makes a decent alternative car ad. smile
Suby & Sinem: I actually thought so whan I was taken the shot smile Thanks for the comments and do ahve a lovely week. Suby
Nice portrait, Great pose and just enough info on the car to determine its make... very subtle.
Suby & Sinem: Thnaks Neil, hope you having a lovely weekend and getting more stonking images for the coming week smile
very nice portrait. What editing software are you using. i have never used a editing software so far....but i would like to try
keep up the good work
nish
Suby & Sinem: I normally use Photoshop CS2, but I have Adobe Elements 3.0 and Picasa. For this shot I used Picasa. Your best best as you have never used any editing software is to start with Adobe Elements 4.0. Very good and robust editing software that is very affordable. Then buy as many books or visit as many tutorial sites as you can. My current best read at this time is "Photoshop, Restoration & Retouching" by Katrin Eismann. Books like these only help in ones developement in photoshop or with editing skills (book is actually on lap as I writesmile )

Nice shot, really like the composition and the pose, she looks like she's got attitude smile My only complaint is the lighting is a little harsh, some of the shadows are a bit distracting.
Suby & Sinem: Liked the car being in the backdrop of the shot and loved the way it cast a shodow. So why did I leave it in? (after all you can crop in Picassa). I wanted to display the image with the least amount of editing. That is the beauty of photography. I like trying my best to get it right 1st time, not shoot knowing I could always correct in CS2. So for this shot, I wanted to keep the "cheating" as some say to the minimum. Suby

Holy Cow, Suby! That was a fast response!

Things are going pretty good. It's my son's sixth birthday...I must make his ice cream cake. Have a great day!
Suby & Sinem: LOL. Happy birthday to the little fella from the Subster. God I can't wait to start my own family. smile I love kids to death. However I know the thought of Mini Suby's running around the world inspires fear in people smile All part of my ultimate aim to conqure the world I fear smile Suby

Lovely, but in a side by side, the other one is better. I like the softer light and tones in the other shot.

Hi Suby a great shot and well processed, I like the pose and the addition of the expensive wheels. Is that your car then?? The only minor point I will mention is the belt on the floor, did you forget it was there? By the way it doesn't stop it being a great shot, I'm just picky especially when it's a posed shot..

With the car, it looks she is a calendar girl like ones with girls and cars. The expression says many words. She is once again very photogenic here.
