Green Eyed Wonder

Suby In the house.

No I did not change the colour of her eyes :) It's all el naturale.

This above is a shot of a friend from work I took about a week ago. I had been thinking of shooting her for such a long time as she has such lovely unique eyes but had never had the chance. So on a glorious Friday during my normal lunch time walkie, there she was, sitting in the park, as they say it was like taking candy from a baby :) Okay she gladly allowed me to take some wonderful shots of her and this is my favourite shot.

Processing: Very little, enhanced the skin tones very lightly with curve tool, tidied up some spots and that was it.

ce'st magnifique! there's a snooty and warm friendliness in this shot (if there's such a thing). it's like she doesn't want you to take her photo but at the same time, she does (in an odd way)...and i am definitely loving that smoke coming out from her mouth. now as for the eyes...well, i am not used to seeing colored eyes, as green as that...so you could just imagine, how thrilled i am right now seeing that there are actually people with such awesome, colored eyes. it's like i am seeing a lushious, greemn meadow.

Har fikr ko dhuen mein udata chala gaya - from a Hindo song, when translated in English it means that I kept blowing away all my worries in smoke.

"I had been thinking of shooting her for such a long time.." Poor girl, having to live under such a threat. You must have frightened her witless!

Glad you finally "shot" her this way though; it's a very pleasing portrait and she does indeed have smouldering eyes I just want to gaze into. So good to have accommodating friends.

I'm not very impressed Suby, this one is just ok for me.
The smoke looks added in Photoshop lol, although it's not.Shot is just strange, and I don't like the lighting, face facing other way might have improved lighting.
GREAT SHOT!!!

smoke in the atmosphere is great, but smoke that is been blown always looks contrived or "unreal". Otherwise I really like this portrait and she does have amazing eyes!

I am glad you mentioned the eyes are not photoshopped smile. Cool portrait, because it is very natural and the colors match so well. Yep, you are getting better and better...

Sorry Subster, this one doesn't do it for me. The whole blowing smoke thing is kind of wierd because it results in her lips being all puckered up in a funny manner.

If the reason you wanted to take her photograph was her eyes, why didn't you compose this shot in such a way that featured her eyes? I agree that her eyes look great, now let's get all the distractions out of the frame and focus on those peepers.

Cheerio.

My wife would get worried if I went out taking shots like this wink Just the other day she found my archive from a fashion shoot... eek!
hey suby,

her eyes certainly are a unique shade fo green. i particularly like the statuesque appearance of the girl combined with the motion of the smoke.

the green eyes and the lighting are incredible. but i have to say sorry about the smoke.
Its the eyes..... remember the Nat'l Geo cover, the Afghan girl with the eyes. the same kind of haunting look
Love this shot Suby! The eyes really suck you right into the image.

Very nice. Those eyes are beautiful. Is she blowing out smoke? I like this. Very different from your standard portrait.
