A Simple Flower?

Suby In The House

Eeeecck horror shock, 23:00hrs, promised àsìkò a flower shot, however, do I have any "flower" shots that will cut the muster? Eeeeccckk and more horrors (we are in the realms of dramatics here people lol).

Get big fat ass off couch race upstairs to study, open archives and bingo, eyes fall on some flower shots I half heatedly took last week. Hey that looks like a  good shot. It'll do, no editing needed, upload quick.

But hey, looking at it again, looks boring to me, lets see if we can wake it up a little. 5 -10 minutes later, we have the image posted above.

Okay now, this is sure to get the viewers fingers tapping on the keyboards, yes "I Likey" and most importantly it's a Sunday. Can post whatever I like.

So here you go Asiko, here is a simple flower shot for you :)

P.s
As you can see I have had too much time on my hands today, decided to leave brain at work this weekend. Nothing heavy all weekend. Heaven soo far.

Hope you all are having a beautiful fun & rest filled weekend.

LOL ... that's not a flower, that's a mad monster disguised (VERY thinly) as something vaguely resembling a flower..... it's jumping out to swallow the viewer....

Actually I like it a lot, this "snake striking feel" works for me, just think if you had spent 15 to 20 minutes turning the innocent bud into a venomous serpent rather than 5 to 10 it COULD (possibly) be even a bit slicker but I still love it.
Suby & Sinem: He he he, this is the evil mind of the Susbter just having fun, quite surprised you like it. But since yu do and can't take it back I accept it smile

It looks like it's about to jump out of the computer and bite me! LOL.

I love it though!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Laurie, maybe it is thinking of jumping out of the computer to bite your Mac, be warned tongue
Suby
It looks like a big mouth with some scraggly things hangingoff the palate. Weird man, but you did yourself good.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Bro, have to admit this is one of those shots I just had fun with, and surprides (reallY) how much it's liked tongue

It's heading towards me, it wants me alive!!! Aiyeee!!!! Suby bro, this is GREAT PHOTO!! =DDDDD
Suby & Sinem: Yup it definitely wants you alive, it's coming to you soon. Look at the screen long enough and it WILL get you tongue

Interesting shot. Me thinks that the selection should have had a feather of about sat 50px. The blur is too sudden IMHO. Also there's something about the colours that doesn't sit well with me. I'm not sure what the main colour is in this image.
Suby & Sinem: Ahhhh the Alakija man, I knew he would bring me back down to earth with a big whack smile It's just a fun pic, as I said, surprised it's got soo many positive comments, funny the shots one thinks one is going to be crucified ends up being trhe one people seem to like. Weird veiwers I have tongue

I'm still in shock that Suby is posting a flower shot, but I guess it was because of a request. I love flower shots because I am always amazed at nature's beauty and never bored with it. In this high tech world where we're all to "busy" to even enjoy leisure time without having to talk on our cell phone or text someone, admiring nature seems to be something lost. This is a beautiful flower, but I think the effect is too much. It has taken away from and tried to outshine all that was already there. I would rather have seen a well composed image and just trust that the beauty of the flower would have carried the shot.

So glad you're enjoying your heavenly weekend, I was doing the same thing here yesterday. May the rest of it be just as wonderful for you today!!
Suby & Sinem: I am still in shock myself Micki, a flower shot from Suby? I really really need to start shocking you guys some more smile. Well I have to agree with you on the effects being too much but you know what, I looked at the flower and was just about to upload as I took it and thought, hey why not have a little bit of fun with it. 5-10 minutes later we had this monster tongue Yeah yeah, the beauty of the flower and all that... but me wanted to give you guys these beast. Nice to just have fun and throw convention to the wind sometimes, it's a weekend as well.

Hope you to are having a lovely Sunday

I am so surprised to see a flower from ya! I must say though, I am not liking the blur you chose for the background. Although it is very "suby like" I don't think this particular effect suits a flower! lol - there you get me honest. Too early for anything else.
Suby & Sinem: I really need to surprise you guys even mor, not many flower shots in my arsenal, I am slacking in that regards. Yeah I know about the effects, but what the hell, I wanted to have some fun with the shot smile Always love honesty Faustina, always love it tongue

Excellent mate!!
this is a really sick capture! absolutely brilliant the way you created the effect of the flower moving in towards the viewer. well done!
Hey Suby,

I'm going to have to go with Paul on this image Suby, sorry, It seems too forced to make an interesting shot out of a dull one. Just not diging the PP effects..

Glad you liked the entry into barbiek blog, I think I'll have to do some hunting through your archives here and write one for you somtime soon..

As for the fireworks on my blog, The best capture method i've found is to mount the camera on a VERY stable tripod (I have a Manfrotto), use a longer exposure (1sec+, i've shot some stuff at 20sec that looks amazing!) drop the aperature to above f10, and use ISO100. Hit the shutter and then keep your hands away from the camera until it closes again, or use a release cable. Let me know if this helps you any next time you get some fireworks to shoot.

Great blurred background! Very cool.
While you have done a wonderful job of turning a poor innocent little flower into a demon straight from hell, in this case i don't think that it really deserved this treatment. I think that for me the blur distracts from what could be the beauty of the subject itself. Also what Paul said about getting really close and inside. If you gotten way up in there it may have turned into something really sensual with all of those delicious curves inside.

hmmmmmmmmmmm.............. sorry dude this shot isn't working for me. I don't dig the motion blur in here, if u were going to do it, then maybe a better feather bcos its a bit too sudden. I admire ur creativity with the motion blur though. Lets see U try a flower shot without effects, c'mon I'm daring U Subster, obviously making it interesting.

Hi Suby,

I love it.....I love flowers and with the back ground being blured it allow's me to focus on the flower, and the colour's are just purfect. And Mum still has these flowers on the table and they still look stunning.

Luv Kiran xx
love the colours. not too sure about the blurring effect of the outer petals but thats a personal preference. as a whole, the shot works imo.
This image is fab. I love the clours and and love how the flower really grabs your attention smile xx
