TREAD SOFTLY...

Suby In The House

That guy called Jide who resides at Alakija.com put  up a similar(ish) shot tot this yesterday. Did not want to post this up after seeing his but he convinced me to put it up as I planned, so here you are  Mr Alakija

"I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams."

William Butler Yeats, from 'He Wishes for the Clothes of Heaven'

NOW PAY ATTENTION VISITORS, I WILL SAY THIS ONLY ONCE...

Was sat waiting with the bride for our carriages that would take us to her new man to arrive. Suby mentally preparing himself for the long day of shooting ahead, ensuring all peices of equipment needed where CHECKBride sat patiently, tummy doing a thousand summersaults waiting impatiently for her carriage to arrive to whisk her to new man.

All of a sudden I notice that her shoes are being tied/laced(or whatever it's called), 1st thought, "dang a lovely shot if I ever saw one, I could use the hands lacing up in the shot as well" Quick switch on camera, thank God right lens in place and I manage to get ONLY TWO SHOTS of this.

NNNnnnnoooooooooo.

However all hope is not lost, one shot is a total duff, the other a gem (Prays and thanks the Lord). Hands and feet shots, gems from the ordinary for the  bride's & groom's wedding album.

So folks here is the second part of a set of 2 shots I am posting. Thank you for the well thought of diverse comments I received yesterday. Now yersterdays post is gone. All we now have is todays post...

So what say you me learned friends?

Hope you all have a beautiful, fun & rest filled week.

Interpretation of Shhs Modes (Thanks to Beakerst)
GREEN - "I'm happy with it so please don't pick holes, just appreciate the aesthetic beauty that I put before you"
YELLOW - "I'm undecided, what do you think, could the crop be better, is the focus spot on?"
RED - "I think I'm a pro so cut me down with your critical evaluation"

Note to fellow Shutterchancers: I do take my time to visit & comment on as many blogs as I can each day. I leave my substantial comments for only those who RED Shhs. For green and  yellow shhss modes, You will only get a "cool shot" from the Subster.

This is great Suby (although I am wondering if we are getting the bride in slices this week ... hands yesterday, feet today, maybe some ears tomorrow???)

"Normal" usual wedding photography (happy couple holds hands while leaning against a tree-trunk in a park) bore me to tears, you always seem to manage to catch the little moments which will make the couple say "Oh - do you remember, that's when we ...." when they are old and grey. I love the composition of this one, and the hands that tie the buckle have such a great texture. I can see some impatience in the way the bride's foot is tensed - she is half amused, half irritated by the minor blip to her day, and she wants to get going. talking feet ----- NICE
Suby & Sinem: Nope me thinks this is the last of the bride series (at least for now) tongue

Yep the old traditional shots bore me to tears, it's like why not just out photocopy some wedding shots and paste the faces of the bride on groom on them as you will keep doing the same boring shots and edits(if any are done).

Glad this shot is liked. Makes me day, all the effort seems to be worth it smile

Very lovely shot Suby. I also like the processing.
If its from the same bride, why not put up a collage later on, presuming there are other "bits"....
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Deji, don't ask how I process the shot though, I have such a crazy scattered way of editing my shots that I am always surprised myself when it comes out right smile

Very nice, Suby. Years from now they'll look back on this and remember ...

Those shoes look quite delicate, almost like ballerina shows. You've captured that as well.

Hmmm, I just thought, if you had asked about the ring, for yesterday's photo, you probably would have taken one of those little delicate feet to the head. smile

Paul
Since the subject was the shoes, I would prefer to see them both at the same DOF unless you meant it to show only the buckling of the strap. Again an excellent subject matter but I feel its just short of perfect, however keep at it with these type of subjects. You're onto something here......

Really really cool. It takes a real artist to notice opportunities like this one. I love the processing. Excellent stuff Suby. A very original image, I've never seen one like this before. Well done.

lovely shot. Whenever we are going somewhere in the car I see all kinds of things that I want to take photos of but could not possible get to safely from the side of the highway. It's so great that you took the opportunity and got the shot.

Suby, another winner! What I would especially find special about this image (if I were the bride) is the hands. They look like those of her mother or grandmother. Definitely something that HAD to be recorded and saved forever. Good thing you had your game on and captured this shot!

Rings on her fingers ...and bells on her toes...
where are the bells Suby? the bells? I expect to see bells!

Sorry, just being facetious...It is yet another creative take on weddings...

Subman. This is a cool shot!
WIL:
-Aged effect (kind of)
-The grain, goes hand in hand with above.
-The colors. " " " " " ".
-Compostition. Classic!
-The meaning that could be interpreted. There are plenty which makes it even better smile
-The lighting. You are getting better and better each day.

WIDL:
-ummm...raw fish. It doesn't really taste good at all.

Overall, this is a spectacular shot!
Suby & Sinem: The Rezaman you crack me up with your comments everytime. Good to have you back(ish). WIDL... you just had to put something didn't you?tongue
