Birthday Girl

Suby In The House

See  policyofsubster

Okay another chapter in my developement. Going to try different editing on mine (and some of Sinem's) images. Let me know what you think.

It's my neice's 11th birthday today. I decided post up a fun shot  for her that is different from the norm , one that will be different from any other shot out there (allegedly, don't let on okay lol), and also make her look cool in the process.

I find out with kids, when you put images in front of them , they seem to gravitate from the serious type technically perfect shots to those crazy shots with loads of effects. Shots like these never seem to amaze them. So for ALL the kids out there ENJOY this image. More to come.

Happy Birthday Mayowa!!!

Did warn those of you that do not like experiments and thinking out of the box, to please look away LOL

Suby, I love this. It's such a fun picture.
Suby & Sinem: I do agree with you it is, Looked at my images of kids I have in my archives and realised that I do not actually take and edit shots that the kids themselves will look at and say "COOL DUDE", "WOW". Seem to have them safe shots the PARENTS will love, hey so what about the kids I say, so come of the next few images are for the kids, I hope you continue to like tongue

This is a great image. This almost looks like a comic type of drawing or airbrushed art. Also like the perspective.
Happy birthday to your Niece. What a fun age.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Solaris, that was the aim and I am glad I was not only able to achieve it, but that it is liked. You definitely put a smile on the Substers face tongue

very different & unusual! Love whatever you did to the picture (Just curious, what did you do?) Processing reminds me of some art form/photgraphy I saw a MOMA (Museum of modern art in NY). Nice! you are definitely coming along with your photography. Good job!!
Suby & Sinem: Knock me for six, my harshest critic (my lovely Sister) likes one of my shots, think thats 3 and counting smile Hold on, got to frame this comment tongue
All about thinking far out of the box sis. Realised I was bored from doing the same ol, same ol. Okay I think I have proved to myself I can do safe, so lets see whatelse is out there, going to be a few hits and a few misses (hopefully more hits) but me going to give it a try. I think you will like tomorows post in that case. Totally different PPing to this shot but also far out.

Suby & Sinem: Nicole I did do it this time, Yipppeeeeee smile I really am glad this is liked, Put a lot of effort into this shot and PPing, Almost had my camera stamped on by all the kids that where running around when I was taking this shot. Glad how it turned out, 2 more I think for the kids in the next 2 days, Hope you like smile

I recongnize that this is cool, and neat, and funky, and fun. I still don't like it, but I understand that many do, and I'm okay with that. I do think it is a very creative photo, and the angle really is fun. The over the top processing is good too, though it comes across a bit "splotchy" on this website.

I don't really know why I don't like it, it's just not my sort of thing. I know I was supposed to look away, but I would hate the Subster to think that I was ignoring him. I think the one thing that bugs me is that her leg is so well lit, but her face is not. I know that is just a result of the flash, but it leads my eye to her leg everytime, when I really want to see more of her face.
Suby & Sinem: My second harshest critic tongue How you doing smile I love always look forward to your comments, having you like one of my images iss now like an obsession with me, more like the search for the Holy Grail smile

Yup the lighting on this is not the best but had to make do with what I had, Actually did a lot of dodging on this shot to mask some overblown areas, hard work this image was to process. Maybe maybe you will like the post for tomomrrow smile

Looks like you used photomatix HDR plug-in http://www.hdrsoft.com/ for this shot.

Dean Sherwood did a series of shots like this a few weeks ago. Here is one that was my favorite: http://captured4life.my-expressions.com/archives/4498_1341937819/160365

He had a series of these that are pretty awesome.

I like them better when used for shots that don't involve peoples faces, I think it makes their faces look a little off and not very flattering. Sorry.

Cool bro. Looks like a very well done colored pencil drawing. I always wanted to be able to draw like that but never was able to. I like this one. Definitely a fun one.
