Okay another chapter in my developement. Going to try different editing on my (and some of  Sinem's) images. Let me know what you think.

I took this shot on Saturday at a 1 year old birthday party, was just waiting for the celebarant to stop thowing a hissy fit when at the corner of my eyes I say this scene, like a flash I was there, I like it because the scene is seen through a fence, and I knew immediately in my head what the finished result was going to be. I really like the way the little miss seems to be strolling away from her mum and the cars in the background instead of taking away from the shot, actually adds to it.

Seems I am really getting favourable comments on this series, so to those that do not like experiments and thinking out of the box, please DO NOT look away LOL

Who knows, it might start to grow on you.

I'm not sure about this one...but you know me I am still a bit of a purist with a few exceptions when it comes to post processing. It's just not really what I go for.

But I am sure lots of people will love this one. It does have an edge to it.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Micki for the comments. Know not everyone will love this shot, but hey, we gats to still try, Love the purist tag, going to be a dead tag soon. smile Problem is every Dick, Jane and Dom now have a digital camera, we have to give ourselves and edge, PPing the shot to death is not neccessarily the way forward, but knowing how tyo and when to PP a shot is going to start becoming a big thing.

sad Not feeling this one sad
Reasons
1. its to grainy with so many lines which makes it too busy
2. there are too many colours and
3. it is not sharp. Sorry my eyes were all over the place on this one.
Suggestion - keep things simple - maybe a b&w picture with sharp focus on the objects/subjects would have worked - just my opinion
Suby & Sinem: Well 2 good comments in a row from the Sis was really asking too much smile

Simple sometimes is boring smile

WICKED!!!! this is really cool...haha, i really like it dude!!! guess all the experimenting is paying off!!! It almost looks ghost like, the 'missy' i mean..and yeah the cars definitly add to it..I like the fact that youve blown out the fence infront of you, making it more prominent..It's something the mother would have not liked anyone seeing (thr baby walking away onto a main road) so the fact that its behind that fence kinda makes it seem all hidden and descreet..Its also very child-like....a good thing grin
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Yanik, the original picture was really nothing to write home about. However every time I look at this I am really glad I PPed it this way, thanks for the comments

Suby!
You're pushing it man! My my....
Hmmm I actually like this *slaps head* what the....this isn't a photo...
Actually good job on making a usually boring photo something worth sticking on a wall (maybe painting over it, but still, it's there wink)
GREAT GREAT SHOT!!
Suby & Sinem: Yup, the Subster always pushes the boudaries, you seem to forget I get bored easily and not one to always follow conventions or rules or adher to what EVERYONE thinks is the right path. I make my own path, I feel it could make a very good addition to someone wall. i do agree the originalk is indeed boring and the only thing in focus is the fence smile

Suby & Sinem: And you will get more, Lots moresmile Suby is on a roll. Thanks for the comment
Suby
i'm not quite quite sure about this one, I like that you're seeing through a fence but its making me dizzy
Suby & Sinem: he he he, see it's like fashion you see, when new things come out, not everyone is taken with it, then after a while it catches on like wild fire, However I bet you want to be innovative in the fashion world not only a follower smile So you better jump off that fence quick and say you appreciate the work aobove or else... I will sit on the fence when those master pieces from you appear lol

Suby
i like this shot.
i think this is an art. not just about the colors scracthed on it, more over this picture tell you something ....
cool experiment!
Suby & Sinem: thank you for the comments, glad to see a few people like this, lots of effort went into this smile
Suby
Playing with more filters!!!
Suby & Sinem: You know I like to play with me images, needed something to excite me, inspiration, was getting bored posting the same ol same ol thing. This has revitalised the fun I have in blogging, and guess what, i am learning so much as i play with photoshop & other editing tools.

Oh so very cool!! All those books you've been reading lately are really paying off. More info into the mind of Suby...the plot continues to progress forward!
Suby & Sinem: The books are really helping, You know what, the books teach us how to do all these effects with our images and we do not like to experiment or try them out, I say a gallery of an artist a few weeks ago and some of the images (okay most) where just plain blurry, however, this was from a successful artist who was selling these prints for close to £1000 each, eeckk, I must be missing something as me not selling my shots for anything close to that (and don't forget, I think the shots are duff) but seems someone out there thinks otherwise, i will never get the art world but you know what, I want my slice of it smile

hmmmmmmmmmm ...... I can see how all the effects and elements and components by themselves, or in a slightly more discreet combo, would work out very well. You saw a great scene, you saw a fence, you saw grain, you saw lines ..... but I just don't quite feel it now it's all thrown together, as to me the different elements do not combine to enhance each other. Sorry suby, I tried but I don't feel it either. I like it as a sort of abstract - but even as an abstract it's a bit busy. Having said that I'm ALL for experimenting, and usually when one finds a new toy it is normal to go a bit too far, which usually eventually gives better results than timidly creeping up to the matter.....
Suby & Sinem: Not fair, Petra doth not like the shot (the Subster throws himself on floor and has a proper hissy fit) Is there no foarness in this world? smile

Okay artist strop over, thanks for the comments girl, hope you like tommorows smile

I'm not sure what I think about this one, I haven't deceided yet. I think I will come back to it later.
Suby & Sinem: Hey so have you made up your mind yet, you know what I like about the comments today, I have made people pause and think. I really like the fact that one of my images is able to do that smile

Sorry Subster but its not doing it for me either. It just looks to me like a bad television picture. But like Paul said kudos for having a vision and going after it. So many things are a matter of taste and this one just isn' to mine. Good effort bro even though I don't get it.
Suby & Sinem: Ye of little faith (you get it, jusT reach for the FORCE). Hope you like the post for tomorrow.

Interesting idea, but doesnt do anything for me either - but keep trying smile
Suby & Sinem: Hope tomorrows image does something to you in that case, thanks for the comment smile

Suby
I've spent a while looking at this shot, I think there is a good idea but I think also that this kind of work would have a best effect with another shot -> Matter of taste ;-)
Have a nice day
Suby & Sinem: tRUE, IT IS DEFINITELY A MATTER OF TASTE, BUT LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, IT MADE YOU PAUSE OBSERVE BEFORE YOU CAME UP WITH YOUR OPINION, Why because it was something different (sorry about the caps lock)

I've looked at this picture several times today......
Weird, because most of the times i just like or dislike a photo!
Some elements are simply great: the stripes, the fence.
But i think there is to much going on here...
curious to see more the next days though smile

Bit too artificial but the fence and the moving cars have a nice effect... and i like the bang on centering of the people....8/10 from me

I like the composition and what you did with the fence. I don't know about the post processing. Sometimes I like, it sometimes I think the original photo would look better.
This picture is really cool, the post processing definately enhances the interest and keeps you looking.
Looks crazy! I like the effect, looks a bit like shot out of a driving car.

Suby, you have me hitting my monitor, trying to improve the reception. What the heck is going on here? The only thing I don't really like about this is the lack of definition on the mum's features. I think the lack of definition works for everything else, but I think her face could use just a little less effect. One other little niggle is the lower left corner. Clone that out so that it looks the same as the rest of the pavement.

Having said all that, I like this.
