BY THE LAKESIDE

"I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements gray,
I hear it in the deep heart's core."

~ William Butler Yeats,1865 -1939 ~
From "The Lake Isle of Innisfree"

Life is at a standstill on the waterfront. Where water licks the wood, wood tastes the water. Reflections - broken pieces of the sun - on the shimmering sapphire surface. There is nothing like a slice of silence, land of peace and quiet and wonderous beauty to hear Nature call out - sonds we take for granted: a robin's morning call, the rustling of the trees in the summer's breeze, lake water lapping with low sounds'. If you stand long enough, and still enough, you will feel it, surely, in your 'deep heart's core'.

Today, tomorrow, at your earliest opportunity, 'arise and go'. Watch the stars shining on a field of darkness, watch the fingertips of Aurora gently touch the velvety early morning skies, stand by a shimmering lake and hear its deepest, gentlest sounds. On the waterfront, by the lakeside, enjoy all the sights and sounds we all seem to take for granted.

Looks good Sinem. I really like the colour of the water. The trees look over sharpened though. It's too bad that red thing on right is there. It takes away from the serenity of the scene. I like it none the less.
Suby & Sinem: Sinem actually took the red thingy and ensured it was in this shot when she snapped it, think she likes it smile Glad you like the shot smile
Suby
Hey, Timmy, leave the red thingy alone, I like the red thingy!

Hmmmm it's a nice shot for a postcard but with relation to how impressed I am, not much, I need to be kept awake with new concepts in this modern day world of photography (how mean am I....) the thing is anyone could have taken this photo (I think) so it's not that great for me, creative......
GREAT GREAT SHOT! as its a holiday for me today. smile
Sorry sad
Suby & Sinem: Getting harder to please the aZHAR MAN THESE DAYS :p
Suby

Boooohhhhoooooooo.... Azhar, not likey my piccie.... Will go and kill self promptly, drowning self in tears of misery and dejection...
Azhar, I am afraid I have to leave the cutting edge of modern photography to you and Suby. Ok it's postcardy, but this is how I like it. Not anyone could have taken this shot, hence it is shot by ME not Suby.

Sinem
I gotta second what Azhar said dude...Postcard like...looking forward to tmws shot..
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Yanik, hope tommorrows shot moves you smile

yeeeeeeees ... lovely serene scene. Great how those wooden structures repeat in the water and on land, and I like the colours. I may have toned down the red of the safety thingie as it makes the picture a bit heavy to the right - otherwise ... yes, I like
