A Log, On a Corrugated Sheet

Sinem In The House

See  policyofsubster

Another shot from Sinem. She left the house one day and came back with a bunch of images from places the Subster knows not where (maybe cause I just to lazy to drag my fat bum there LOL), anyway I digress.....

Looking through the archives for more  Sinem shots, I came across this and decided I would post. It sort of just struck a cord with me. So after a quick course of editing a "simple log, on a corugated sheet" actualy looks interesting". (at least to me).

Being the busy mother of two with little to no spare time of my own, I'm am a big fan of photos of the ordinary to be viewed extraordinarily.

That being said, I'm not digging the corrugated sheet. It just doesn't fit the photo. On the other hand, the "bullet hole" in the metal fence is interesting.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Joy for the comments, and a busy mother of 2 boys at that, (where do you find the time?smile)
Now you mention I keep looking at the shot and thinking how this would look without the sheet, emmmm where would the log rest on lol. The "bullet" hole is one of those unique spider web that makes the shot stand out for me.

hey suby,

a really surreal image. well done....i really like the use of the simple objects. is that a spider web in the fence. lovely details.
Suby & Sinem: Yup that is a spider web, that detail was not actually visible until this sot was PP'd it sort of adds to the shot don't you think.
Suby
Beauty in simplicity!
Suby & Sinem: I concour 100% lol tongue

I like the subject matter but i do not like the processing...it just seems a bit smudgy...7/10 from me...
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Samarth, no smudges, thats the shadows, I just highlighted the image details a lot. 7 out of 10 works for me so I have grabbed it smile

wait a minute, ur kidding me right ha ha ha ha ha ha this is awfull. First its an uninteresting shot and then the PP is nonesense (is this the HDR thingy?) Samarth gave U 7/10 OMG I think she needs to go to spec savers; -2/10 from the enforcer.
This is my second photo slap today, yea thats right, U've just been photo slapped, feel the force of my pimp hand. I double dare U to put up a great shot 2moro. I know U can do it.
Suby & Sinem: Best comments I have had in a very looooooong time (okay since mondays comment by Azhar smile )

Trying hard to stop chuckling here.

A great shot tomorrow, I thought I only ever posted GREAT shots???

Suby & Sinem: PP magic, I wish, just part of me followign around as usual. I really am glad you like this, I was really looking forward to your comments, can breath easy now. Thanks Micki.

the picture shows that you have been lazy, i am sometimes too. Just work on a somehow interesting shot until it looks kinda creative, post it and see.
in the end it was a creative process, just not everybody likes it. thats art i guess
Suby & Sinem: Me lazy, NEVER (psst don't let everyone know tongue) I do agree with you, it was a somewhhat/somehow interesting shotSinem took and I thought, what can I do to make this look interesting, came up with the post above. I have to point out here I did not use the PP (post processing) to CHANGE THE IMAGE BUT TO ENHANCE IT. I just brought out the details in the shot, nothing else. Yup maybe we can call it ART smile

HDR. Not for me.
Weirdly processed, weridly shot, weirdly. No Subster.
Suby & Sinem: Sorry you have to suck it up and enjoy whatever the Subster presents on HIS(and hers) blog. So suck it up, Sit back and enjoy the shot and that IS A COMMAND smile

Suby
Okay I actually thought this was Suby's shot because of the HDR. I don't think you executed it properly Sinem. Remember the reason why you need HDR in the first place is to retieve some more tonal information. This shot doesn't shot that.
Suby & Sinem: Shot was by Sinem, PPing is all my fault. I know Sinem would have edited differently (have not yet corrupted her with this PPing technique) So blame me (bows head in shame) tongue

I actually think it does show that, but what the hell, what do I know sad

Strange picture. Strange PP. But why not ?
Suby & Sinem: Yup, strang, but as you say WHY NOT?

Probably cause I can tongue

Suby
This is an interesting picture, a lot of elements and that too contrasting, in this shot. The kind of depth this picture has makes one feel it is one photo taken in front of another photo.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Navin, it really is just image smile

Wow super sharp picture and nice bokeh. Sir what lens are youi using here? seems to be a superior telephoto smile
This one don't work very much for me, it's very subjective because i'm totally unable to say why. On the other side, i like the creativity of the post processing and the work on tones, lights and shadows etc...
Well, I imagine that i'm going to come back in a few moment to see it again. Have a nice day smile

Not my thing I'm afraid. It looks like an attempt that just didn't quite work out. Maybe just a little too random of a composition??? The PP isn't for me either but hey you know how I feel in general about PP. smile

I'm with the Enforcer on this one the PP doesn't really do it for me but sometimes ya gotta experiment and maybe ya stumble onto something.
