Clowning Around

Sinem In The House

See  policyofsubster

The promised day is at hand Saturday, Joy, I have decided to post up a fun shot of a friend of mine and I. We was just clowning around in this shot (ofcourse the camera is never far off).

This image just makes me laugh, you can see a more serene shot of her at

http://www.suby.shutterchance.com/photoblog/2301.htm

She going to kill me (again) for posting this shot.

All have a FANTASTIC WEEKEND.

lol love the attitude. And the crop is perfecto! have a nice weekend smile
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Mia, one of the things I am trying to always ensure I get right is the crop on my images, If I can't get the crop right in the cammera have to get it right in photoshop. Knowing what crop to use on images is not as easy as it looks tongue

Have a good weekend yourself.

Now that looks like the fun lovin woman you described!

I love the attitude in this shot! It is an amusing and very fun shot! It almost reminds me of a scene in a movie or a play.

You have a great weekend too.

Rob leaves in a few hours sad ... Me a very sad Momma. The time was too short. He went to the beach with friends to see the sunrise before he goes. It's a tradition they have when they all get together. But one that makes mom sit up worrying all night. (Even though Mom used to do the exact same thing at that age.)
Suby & Sinem: I told you she was smile
You have a lovely weekend to, try not to miss Rob too much, if you do, you always have the Subster to always try to make you smile and f orget the missing tongue

Hi Suby

Looks like you had to hold her back (so much energy, like a volcano) so that the picture could have been taken. I guess you’ll manage her when she comes to kill you (again), you look like you can handle her…

Have a good weekend
Diya

Oh, how are you converting to monochrome?
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Diya,

Will have to run hide and duck cause whe will be out for my blood . smile

How am I converting to monochrome?

It depends on my mood or what conversation method I think will suit the image;

1. I most times convert using the channel mixer cause it allows me the ability create a custom greyscale image by blending all 3 RGB channels. This for me is priceless. This shot above was done with channel mixer. I however added the slight duotones to this image using the curve tool. I will suggest until you have a better understanding of the function of this curve tool, stay clear tongue You can achieve this by either using the photo filter in CS2 (very easy) or by doing a straight conversion to grayscale then under image menu, under mode, choose duotone. (Not something you may want to tackle now as well) tongue

2. Gradient map - (selecting a black to white gradient) - I sometimes also use this conversion method, mosly when I feel too lazy and know I am going to add a duotone smile Extremely easy to use but not suitable for all conversions in my books
3. Calculations Method -Not really seen to many people use this method, I only use it once in a while just to ensure I do not forget how smile
4. Lab Lightness Channel - Another good way to convert to monochrome, use it once in a while as well
5. Or you can just go the easiest route of them all. Open image, Ctrl+Shift+U and a monochrome conversion later..... smile
Good luck I hope this helped you.

Suby
P.s
Conversa tion to monochrome is by no means the end of the conversions. Sometimes you may have to use some other tools to get that perfect conversion, what that is is up to each individual.

LOL fantastic shot GREAT GREAT GREAT SHOT!

As Suby walks up to the house, he takes a small detour through the trees , over the fence, his face brushing against the thick vegetation. He silently approaches his goal, creeping up slowly and dropping his diffel bag on the concrete on the border of the swimming pool. He takes off his clothes, but as he deos, a couple walks out the house door. Suby, being terrified at being caught swimming in his neighbor's pool, dives in without putting in his costume and holds his breath. The couple walks out, and inspects wqhats going on. They see a duffel bag. Suby cannot hold his breath any longer. He pops out of the water, and embarassingly uses his duffel bag to well....yknow.
The wife looks stunned and that changes to anger, Suby being cluless what to do, took out his camera and snapped a shot with his big external flash, blinding the couple for a minute, the stunned couple turned away , walked in circles, and fell into the pool, while the subster made his embarassing escape. And this is how this photo was created.
Suby & Sinem: Azhar, you sure do have such a fertile imagination, it could all have been tru but for one small detail, that is the Subster in the shot. But 10/10 Marks for effort and a very interesting read that just had me chuckling with laughter smile

Suby
Now this is one of the best shots on this blog. Extremely well processed.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Jide. Hope you having a swell time today.

It looks like she will kill Sinem and that you are trying to hold her back. I am not sure you are strong enough for that.

About monochrome. I know you are a BIG fan of b&w. I like b&w pictures too but as I said before I don't think it is ideal for viewing on computer monitors. I looked at monochrome pictures on different screens and they look quite different from screen to screen. You have the same differences with color but it is not so obvious (it still looks good most of the time) while the b1w are looking grey, or too black or just OK...
That is why I don't use much monochrome.

PS. Your duotone looks great on my screen ! smile
Suby & Sinem: I come from the old school that says, do not knock it until you know it. I think monochrome images work, it may not be your thing, but why not give it a try and see what you come up wit.

I am not a fan of HDR, but I will learn as much as I can about it till I know all about it. I don't really like taking landscape or flower shots, but I do force myself to take these images. Need to be as knowledgeable in most things as I can tongue

I think you should also think about caliberating your monitor tongue

Have a few shots lined up for you next week tongue

Suby, I think you don't got my point. I LOVE b&w pictures on PAPER but not on computer screens.

Make me a favor and look at your monochrome pictures on different computer screens. Your picture will look quite different on the different screens.

If you do the same test with a color image you will also have differences BUT it doesn't affect the quality of the image as much as with a monochrome image.

Not everybody calibrates his monitor or got the latest flat screen monitor.
Absolutely love it. Great tones, great attitude! 9/10
