Suby In The House

See  policyofsubster

Another different shot from me. Not much PP done here. I DID NOT add blur to this shot, I really DISLIKE doing that on the computer. All I did here was sharpen and boost the colours up a bit, think  the "PP"  took about 1 minute :)

It is that promised day, Friday, ahhhh, I live for these days. Another glorious weekend cometh, can I get a Hallelujah people?

All have a wonderful weekend people. 3 days before my heart returns... can't wait :P

Hellelujah? Is that a fruedian slip. On this side of the pond we usually greet the weekend with a "Hallelujah". But to each his own...

I think I like this photo. The lighting is really good, and I love the green grass. I'm not that fond of the people being there, but, knowing how much the Subster loves to photograph people, they're probably the reason you took the photo in the first place. The depth of field is excellent, good lens choice.

I would probably have focused on the people and blurred the plants. But of course I am not Suby ! ;-)
Great colors!
hey suby,

tgif man! ok, the reason that i like this shot is b/c of the focal point. whereas most people would've blurred the shrubs and focused on the people, you did the opposite. i like the fact that you turned the obvious on its head. superb details. enjoy the weekend man.
Love the perspective and colors here...

Maybe it's the title, but it seems that the shrubs should be the part out of focus to give it the feel of you peeking through the shrubs. I like it, the tones are awesome and the DOF is great, yet I can't help thinking it's wrong, if that makes any sense...Just ignore me, I think it's past my bedtime...I will just shut up now and go to sleep.

This has a wonderfully sweet feel to it. The limited dof creates a summertime warmth to the image...the feeling of a lazy, sunny afternoon.

The softness of the distant scene is just perfect emphasis for the foreground foliage - a great example of using your lens for textural contrast. Is the couple seated on a slope? On first read, it seems the horizon is off, although here on a calibrated screen I do get a strong sense of an implied level horizon in the distant shadows.

This shot definitely makes me crave the weekend even more - and Hallelujah for the weekend, indeed!

suby, most times, I don't know what to make of most of your shots. I can't pretend to have much knowledge about these things. I usually just look at the pictures and know that I like them or not. I leave the technical stuff to others more eminently qualified than I. This one, I like. Btw, I love all of Sinem's pictures.smile
Nice focus in this shot! I like the layout.

Good point of view. Although the attraction point is the people, focus takes the attention away to the details on the foreground. I like breaking the rules. Upper 2/3 of frame looks full, so to me, it's not a perfect composition. Nice shot smile

+composition, +aesthetics, -originality
