Impervious to the fact....

Suby In The House

See  policyofsubster

A  chilled Saturday shot.

Not a care in the world (is she really looking where she is walking?), the innocent pedestrian goes about on her merry way, impervious to the fact that the walk has now been immortalised for all time.

All have a wonderful weekend and do look where you are walking.

I know it's the weekend, and you like to chill out and post "fun" shots on the weekends. But photography isn't supposed to be fun. Oh sorry, it turns out I'm a moron. Photography is supposed to be fun. Go ahead and have fun, but I'm going to be a grump.

She's a pretty good looking woman, considering there is a shoe growing out of her hand and a gym bag growing out of her shoulder. The tiny bit of sky above the phone booth keeps drawing my eye away from her though. Excellent depth of field and I like the mild desaturation. I can't get past the hair covering her face though. My immediate reaction was to reach out and move it so that she could see better.

Have a "fun" weekend Suby, I'm going home to eat worms.
Suby & Sinem: Grumpy Timmy, how are you? Should I have cloned those bits? I thought of it when editing the shot and DIDI actually clone it, but I feal this one gave it more substance, but thats my own opinion. tongue

The hair actually makes me laugh even more at the image grin
Have a cool weekend babes.

hey suby,

i will take this as a "fun shot." as a fun shot, this is a great one. i love the fact that she is completely oblivious to every and anything going on around her. she looks like she owns the street.

if this were a more serious shot, i would recommend cloning out the shoe and the bag that timmy talks about. for either a serious or fun shot, the dof, lighting, and colors are perfect. enjoy the weekend man.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Nicole,

You have a wicked weekend as well.

Have a great weekend! I love the shot, I always worry that someone is going to take a strange photo of me walking around one of these days!
Suby & Sinem: I promise next time you are in the UK, I WILL capture a strange photo of you grin

Have a lovely weekend.

Suby

Suby & Sinem: Thankns for the comments ismael, you do take amazing shots yourself.

This is a good off-the-cuff candid. As VV would indicate, I'm not good at doing this kind of shot. I don't have the nerve for them. But someof the ones on this site make me wish i did! Nice work smile

It is a fun shot. I wonder if I look so distracted when I am walking down the street like that.

It looks to me like she has a really good song in her head. (I don't see an ipod or anything, that's why I say that.)
Nice shot suby..dont get into trouble oh..
Sweet weekend..n take am easy oh..

All compositional tidbits aside, often times street shots are what they are smile Definitely a worthwhile capture, though - "That's right, people! I'm walkin'!"

This also brings to mind the question of just how many photos we all might be in from vacation snaps from all over the world - just how often are the photobloggers themselves unwittingly in someone else's viewfinder?
wotcha. matey! My comment about HDR was not aimed @ any specific individual ( I wouldn't be so cheap!). It WAS aimed @ those who simply assume that HDR will turn a sow's ear into a silk purse: never happen!
To me, HDR has a synthetic quality that I still can't convince myself I like!
Sorry if you took offence, Old Chap! keep up the good work!
P.S. you certainly have an eye for them fine, foxy womens, man! LOL...
Suby & Sinem: Okay Dave I have a confession to make, I definitely know it was not aimed at me, but I just felt like ruffling your feathers a little bit (sorry I just have this evil streak in me grin).

I am one for the enhancemnet of ones images, not producing THE IMAGE any editing techniques. As you rightly pointed out, a boring shot will always be a boring shot no matter what is done. smile

You have a cool weekend.

Suby, I'm loving this shot. This lady seems to exude confidence. She's got a lot of attitude. smile There appears to be not a care in the world. Lovely shot!

You'd better watch out, Subster. I bought myself a Canon A530 camera to catch the street scenes. I carry it with me wherever I go. Gotta run. Sitting outside at a Starbucks and it's about to rain! BTW, I hate coffee, but I go where the wife wants to go. smile

Funny you should say that, I wasn't watching where I was walking an hour ago and tripped over my kid's toy. Should've stopped by here first.

Great catch!!

You know when I first saw this I thought you may have tried my tricks, I'm glad they worked for you smile
I love the look of this. Nice desaturation and the look on the girls face is very non-chalant! Nice shot!

One wonders where she's looking at. The camera location is so well, that she is walking down the street, or this is indeed gives a feeling of a slope, and view is from a higher ground. I like the high dof, detailed background really adds to this photograph.

+composition, -aesthetics, -originality
