Duck 2

Suby In The House

See  policyofsubster

This was taken at the same time as Duck

For me a simple and sweet image, No fancy photoshoping done here, all I did was a slight boost of the colours when converting to JPEG from RAW and a tad play with the curves, a 30 secs job.

I love the duck in the background, for me it adds a little something extra to the shot.

Hope you all are having a lovely weekend.

"Now make sure you get my good side Mr. Suby."

I love it he's a handsome fellow. But it looks like his mate was camera shy. Lovely job on this one...but you KNEW I was going to like this one didn't you?

Like LAurie said, very handsome fellow...i also like that blurred fellow in the background....8.25/10....is there any limit of words per post on shutterchance because no matter what i do i cant seem to upload a picture.....
Comparing the two shots, this one and the previous shot of "Mr D. Duck", I would say the previous shot has a lot more character... atleast it's doing something (mouth open)

This picture, nice colours aside... sadly falls in to that catergory of "Nice but boring"

Shots of birds...sometimes take forever to catch the right shot, i.e when they are doing something "interesting", and it sometimes requires you "stalking" them for hours, you never know what your getting yourself into when embarking on this kind of mission. Once in awhile though, we do get a first time keeper.

Suby, I love your work and looking through your archives one can only see the constant improvements you have been making but this shot really didnt take any thought or effort, what i'm trying to say is I really expect you to be much more creative now with your shooting.

So here is the Skeelo's challenge, hehehe, you up for it? i'm sure you are.

Go out and shoot another Duck image, and this time wait for the right moment, trust me... you will know when that happens. ( You can thank me later)
Suby & Sinem: Dang this Skeelo man is hard to please, what muhst the Subster do. (Huge Sigh), Okay I hear you Mr Skee, but lucky the Susbter is always prepared for gents like the Skeelo and when he was doing this shoot actually took some shots like the Skeelo wants (you know just in case smile ), Zee problem is knowing which image to post out of probably 20 or 30 images, I normally tend not to post more than 3 or 4 images from any shoot, but since you ask I will dig deep and hopefully I will be able to deliver what you want, tongue Although I have to point out, these particular ducks where ratehr boring, nothing exciting ever happens, they just swan around looking all pretty and all sad

Suby
It is a simple image and I like it. You got a good catchlight in his eye. I think maybe the title is letting it down a little. The female is walking away in the distance so there could be something there to create a title which would inspire.

I think this duck is not very happy with you. I guess he thinks you are courting his lady ! ;-)

I see that you are trying to get all your ducks in a rowsmile All kidding aside I love the DOF of this shot but would have liked to see his face better exposed as in the other shot. So much of photographing animals is getting the eyes sharp and visible. Lve the composition though with his wife in the background.

The duck in the background does make this shot something out of the ordinary. The male's colors are regal!
