The Laughing Bride

Suby In The House

See  policyofsubster

This Shot is for Laura - treclau as promised.

This is a shot from a wedding I assisted Jide with a few weeks ago. The shot here shows the Alakija Man as he is snapping the lovely bride.

I was sat down taking some other random shots when I saw Jide in this pose, and an idea popped into my head, so I set my len's to manual focus (MF) and snapped 2 shots of this scene. (the other one was unusable :(  )

My aim was actually to capture the whole scene but not to have anything in sharp focus. This has actually turned out to be my favourite shot of that day, I do not know, why but It just seems to capture the Joy and the Fun of the day, the bride having a swell time, with everyone fussing around her.

The image sorta messes with your perception of what you are seeing (at least it does mine, but I am the crazy one LOL) One keeps staring to sorta guess if it really is out of focus or is it in focus???? .......

The pose Jide is in is reminescent of ads I have seen. I seem to be going all "advert typey" on my last few posts, all intentional. Enjoy

P.s.

Before anyone says it or ask YES I DO LIKE DARK.

P.p.s

Yes Canon, for all this free adverts, you can send me that dreamy EOS-1Ds Mark II at...... (Email me Canon) LOL

I know why the bride is laughing... it's because alakija is taking a photo of the back of her head and ears instead of her wonderful smile and beautiful eyes. smile
Suby & Sinem: He he he he, I really can't remember why she was laughing you know smile

I've said before but I so love the way you capture a moment, you've done it again. Top marks mate. Mal
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Mal, I am one for capturing moments in my shots, I am really glad I was able to achieve that eher. Hope the bride is going to love this shot just as much as I love it.

It is 'advert typey' and i like the type of cross processing effect you have captured here.
Suby & Sinem: I am really glad it came across that way. Thank you thank you for your comment.

I like how not just one person is in focus. Definitely captures the pre-wedding preparations.
Suby & Sinem: It certainly does capture the preperations, all fun and games. Love capturing the emotions in peoples everyday lives. Thanks for the comments.

I thought the bride was crying!
I wouldn't have been surprised if she was because of you guys...;-)
Suby & Sinem: Eeeck, I hope she wasn't grin
Nope she was definitely laughing. Probably was either Jide and I goofing around smile

Nice shot...it does play tricks on the eyes when it comes to focus....
Suby & Sinem: It certainly does, geez this photography thing sure ain't easy coming up with those images that are liked, As Suby does not have a creative bone in his body (and partly colour blind), I have to work 2ce as hard to achieve the few "nice" images I sometimes stumble into tongue

I always like these spontaneous moments you capture, Suby. I know they will be the favorites of the subjects you shoot, as they will remind them of the emotions they were feeling from their special days.

Lovely moment, although I do wish there was a bit more focus on the bride in particular. She exudes emotion in the shot. But I see what you were going for.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Laurie smile

Diya
Suby & Sinem: Yep she probably does, Thanks for the comments as always.

Suby
Good capture of the moment - I would not have noticed the focus if you had not mentioned it but now that you do it is a little strange as the eye goes back and forth from Jide's camera to the Bride.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Jason, hope I don't mess up your perceptions LOL.

Suby
What a beautiful smile on the bride, another classic wedding capture! You need to do more of these! 8.5 out of 10
