Suby In The House

See  policyofsubster

I am so proud of myself, almost 5 days and not a people shot insight LOL.

As everyone knows, the Subster totally dislikes creepy crawlers, but I do try once in a while to capture them.

Was doing a photoshoot for a family when I came across this spider web, I just had the time to take one shot of this with the premise of going back to take more pictures but actaully forgot. Oh well here is the lone photograph, I am now on the look out for another spider web.

I have several shots almost identical to this and I almost cued one for tomorrow but ended up cueing a different shot.

I want to get one with dew drops on the web, but it seems by the time I can get out the dew is gone. So my next plan of attack is to bring a spray bottle.

This is pretty cool. Spider webs are always so fascinating.
Suby & Sinem: That woudl look real nioce, but doesn't that mean you have to get reeeeaaall close? Eeeck. May the force be with you smile

Spider webs are indeed facinating to shoot, next time I come across one, I will steel my heart and take more shots smile

Suby so brave. And you actually got close to it. When I first saw it I figured you had gone out and rented a 600 mm lense to get the shot. and now you're actually looking for more?grin

Fantastic shot, perfect DOF and in this case the centering of the spider in the frame is the right thing to do.
Suby & Sinem: To tell the thruth when this was 1st pointed to me buy a 3 year old kid, my 1st thought was I need to go and get my zoom lens, but then they said, "won't you take a picture of it?" (momentarily heart freeze and shock), but did not want to show my cowardly side in front of the little one, so one quick snap and a move far away from spider later.... smile

I do like the way I framed it, and I really did not think, it shows me that I am now starting to taking good shots naturally, Thanks God smile

I commend your bravery since you hate these things
Suby & Sinem: I really do dislike them, eeeck, but the things you have to do for your art, I think I totally draw the line with flies, bees, wasp and the likes though, now that I don't even want to be in the same room with. Eeeck and Yucck.
A brave Suby grin

Suby, you're getting a bit uppity. You're showing a distinct lack of fear for these creepy crawlies; nonchalance even. You've sauntered up to this dangerous wild beast and with total disregard for the status quo you have, without quaking or shaking, executed a perfectly sound, well-exposed, focused and colourful image.

Well we can't have that, now can we, so I'm going to process a spider shot I took last month that should restore the proper level of fear in your soul. I think from the colours he is probably related to this one.

Lookout later this week. It's coming for you.
Suby & Sinem: You trying to kill what remains of my feeble heart Colin? It took a quick hold the breath, quickly snap, and almost purposely "forget" to go back and take more shots LOL. Well as long as it ain't a close up shot of the creey crawlers, the Subster is safe. The things I do for this photography, what if the beast jumped out and bit me? Maybe I would have become Spiderman so may not really be a bad thing, or I could just go mad, or.... ahhhhh now you got my mind going and my heart starting to tremble with fear. sad

I like the blurred backdrop in this pic. really good control of camera
Suby & Sinem: For the fact that I only took a quick shot of this, I was really impressed how it came out.

I can't believe I'm looking at a picture of a spider on Subster's web site!! This is too cool!

Anyway, probably the prettiest background on a spider with web shot I've seen. Great colors.

Do we get to see any of the images from the family's photo shoot?
Suby & Sinem: I surprise even myself sometimes, but I have to say, I was not moving too close to the blighter when taking this, a lot of "What ifs" popped into my head, no one should expect me to go watch "Snakes on a plane" anytime soon, If I do, the Subster not ever going anywhere near a plane cause what if there WAS snake on the plane grin tongue smile

Very funny. Actually genius, you managed to make a spider and its web look cute. Of course the nice coloring in the back did the trick, right?

great gradient background through the web.
Better wait for a web in the early morning with a lot of dew and the sun just shining on it.

NOW THATS AN ACHIEVEMENT!

And thank God for it, Suby showing his supposedly not so good side which turns out to be the other way round. Lovely lovely shot. Central composition I likey.

Nice and sharp. If you'd like some more webs you can visit our garden any time.
I have the same fear but as long as they are not moving in my direction, its ok. grin I may have probably taken a closer shot of this spider but noting your fear of creepy crawlers, this is the closest you would go. smile Good job on this one! Nice DOF!
