BUONA NOTTE PRINCIPEZZA!

A 'stream of consciousness' from a long long time ago. It doesn't have to meant anything to anyone; it is not meant to. Written over many a sleepless night spent, bent over a a jar of Nutella and a pot of mascarpone, this was created in the witchy hours of early morning by two girls who were affectionately referred to as 'the terrible twosome', or Xena and Franci.

This is the jigsaw version of their parallel lives and the story of two girls from miles apart finding each other, finding themselves in the small village of Egham in South of England. Seven years... Two girls holding hands and carrying each other through from early twenties to young adulthood, through seven long years; through the laughter and the tears, the wrong men and the right, the missed trains and wrong platforms, late night chats and early morning greetings, through arguments that cut to the bone, through apologies, heartfelt and tender. Kindred spirits, Franci would say... Soul sisters, Xena would add.. Self-appointed sisters.

Friends come and go... Sisters stay in our heart forever, even after hurtful things are said and bridges broken, their houses are still intact on the same spot they have built it many a year ago in a corner of our fragile, feminine hearts. Sisters with parallel lives, sisters with a secret language.

hey sinem,

beautiful as usual. you are quite talented with the pen. i love the stream of consciousness and the fact that nobody would understand it other than a pair of soul sisters. really nice pping on the shot. i also really like the tones and the border.

Aaawww, I have to say what touching words from Sinem, Franny Baby (as I call her) and the wifey have come a long way, through the thick and thin, through the fights and make ups, through the ups and downs, as Sinem says "Friends come and go... Sisters (and I must add brothers :d) stay in our heart forever".

Wish you guys MANY more years of SISTERHOOD, just save me a ring side seat smile

Suboms of Peckham.

P.s
ALL editing on this shot done by Sinem smile So me not taking the glory for that grin

The portrait is nicely composed. I'm not thrilled withthe tones. I think her skin is too gray and overal seems a it "muddy". I also think the noise under and around her chin is a bit too much.

The words are indeed touching.

See now my immediate reaction to this was that it's underexposed or not contrasty enough, so what is it with me and black and white?

By the way, Suby ... not been to see my post on 1st October yet? You're remarkably calm if you have!
