                                                                Beauty Through The Lines

This is a shot I took on Wednesday last week with the lovely model YANA, we got some amazing images and it was a joy to work with her.

This shot was taken as she was coming out of my kitchen into the garden for an outside shoot, I thought, why not capture some images through the beads that hang over my kitchen door. Well after a few clicks and a little PP magic, I ended up with the image above. I hope you like. YANA has the most lovely editorial look, look out for more images from her :)

Hmm...I'm not sure about this one Suby. The lines are too many and too think.
Suby & Sinem: All intentional bro, all intentional. Also I had to work with what I had, and I had loads of beads in front of me eyes. grin

Very suggestive! smile
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Sidney, it sure is

A strange portrait and an original one too. Is she dangerous ? smile
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Florence, one thing I try to do with my images is post of a variety of different portaits that one hopefully does not see everyday, I have to say though, for someone like me who does not have an imaginative bone in his body, I was quite glad i thought of this grin

Nice idea but I think the lines are too obscuring
Suby & Sinem: Thats the aim, I have 200 other shots of her in full glory and one shot like this and for thing is this is one of my favourite shots from the shots, like the way the lines obscure her features but they still shine thru. smile

i like the shot suby. i dont know how it woud look if we saw more detail in the beads. As it is we cannot tell from looking that it is your magic bead curtain as opposed to some ps processing.
Suby & Sinem: Unfortunately I could not show more details in the beads, I would have had to use a higher Fstop and I feel I would not have captured the image in the manner in which I wanted to capture it. The beads are not part of the shot, they where a means to an end as in to be able to depict the lines, Yes I could have added it in photoshop but why waste all that time when it could be done real grin

This is something very creative and original! Keep experimenting and shooting, I can't wait to see what your creative mind comes up with next.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Micki, me heart always sings when I get an approval from you on any of my shots. Will definitely keep experimenting, have another shoot in 1 hour, wonder what I will come up with this time grin

Ah a touch of voyeurism Suby wink a narrower curtain might have worked better - not sure? Very creative smile
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Chris, I hear what you are saying, some truth in it bro grin just had to work with what I had smile

The shot without the lines seems cool, what's the point of the lines though? It also comes out cool but doesn't really make much sense, just playing with art?
Suby & Sinem: The shot without the lines, have toooo many of them, something a little different from the norm is the point here, yes it's me just playing with art smile Thanks for the comments

Suby
this one doesnt work for me suby...
Suby & Sinem: Eeeck, a voice of dissent, LOL, hope you like tomorrows shot.

considering what you had to work with, however, it seems intentional the lines i mean, i think it's a great shot; she looks dangerous!!!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Yinca, yup, thats what I had to work with, if the lines had been thinner, fine, but me no think me going to change the beads on door any time soon tongue

I like the feeling of separation between the camera and the subject, It has a secretive almost candid feel to the image. Mal
Suby & Sinem: Aaaaah, someone gets it, LOL, thought I was one of the few that understood what I was trying to do, I do like to lead people down the garden path in the interpreatation of my images, but I do like them to make up there minds on what they see. grin

Suby
top shot!!!!

(don't forget to check-out the new post-processing forum! http://nowords.info/discussion/ )

Bonjour,
Nice shot..Well done portrait..Your photos in the streets are the best for me..( sorry for incorrect English!)
You've not got beads on your kitchen door have you Subs...lol?
Suby & Sinem: Yep I do, I am sure thats not the correct name but Sinem & I can only think curtain beads cause they are literally beads. grin

Suby
Seriously though...I would love to see a shot with thinner lines. I think it works fine, and the idea is, as pointed out by many others, a creative one. Maybe increasing the suggestiveness of the shot by showing a touch more body detail....It works to an extent, but it's missing a little je ne sais quoi.
Suby & Sinem: Funny thing is I hear what you are saying and it does have it merits BUT.... grin.... I have about 100 other shots that depicts that and something different was needed, oh well, I guess as always, you either feel the shot or you don't (although I prefer when the shot is always felt) smile

I think for it's creative impression it okay Suby! As an image that people are going to critique I think it leaves itself open, literally.
Suby & Sinem: Ndiginiz, hence me posting it up, I do welcome the critics, but sometimes do have to let people know somethings are well beyond my control grin I am more for using what I have around me to achieve great images, maybe when I have the money for thines beads and better props the images I will produce MAYBE better tongue
