Not A Sunglass Advert.. But Could Be.

See  policyofsubster

I had the chance at the video shoot to have a play in one of the unoccuppied studios for about 20 minutes. I was hooked up to a gemini head (I think) with a softbox that was placed on the right of the image, not ideal but it did the job. Perfect daylight is 5000k, perfect lighting for me is either runing a 2 or 3 head light kit.  I think I was running at  between 1500k & 3000k with my one light kit hook up.

It's been a while I have been in a proper studio and it was fun coming up with imaginative images off the top of my head, I am planning to go back into the studio very shortly for a project of mine, but hoping 1st to see if I can sell the idea of my shoot to a magazine. I have got ALMOST everything in place now.

Anyone looking for the services of Suby as a Photographer, you know what to do..... (email me in case some are wondering what. LOL)

Awesome! I agree with the others. Great composition and it's very creative.
Suby & Sinem: Thnaks Ted, I am glad the creativeness of this shot, I dislike posting the same type of images thast you see everyday, I try to be as imaginative with my shots as much as facrors around me allow me to be. I feel photography would bore me if I just posted the "norm" Glad though when I once in a while get it right grin

Nice one - I think the not-in-focus foreground makes this shot more interesting...
Suby & Sinem: Thanks for the visit and the comment Shailja, I am glad you like the image.

I like this one, too Suby!! 20 minutes isn't much time, but I'm sure you used it well.

Great news on the magazine deal, I hope all works out and that you can share more with us soon.
Suby & Sinem: Nope 20 mins is like a teaser, you just keep wanting more smile

This one is more clever than anything else.
I love it how Farida is looking half at the camera and half at you.

Good shot.
Suby & Sinem: Thnaks Mrinal, I am glad you like this image.

Yo Suby. I'm not desperately keen on the right side of this and maybe you could lose a bit of that. However the lighting on your model is outstanding. A Gemini head is a Bowens flash unit right?(rather than continuous lighting). If so, I see you took this at 1/320s which is faster than the sync speed of 1/250 for a 20D. I'm wondering if that's why there's a dark bottom to the image.
Suby & Sinem: Goof thought, I thought of that but I do dislike cropping my images off camera, I did give it a try though and sorta still prefered this crop smile I actually made the background lighter and toned down the models. I really feel minimal colour adjustmenst are required even for the best studio shots (at least those taken with my 20D)

Suby & Sinem: LOL, thought he added something extra to a normarlly ordinary studio shot tongue

Nice Suby, very nice.

I think I agree with Steve and others who would prefer a bit cropped off the right, the lighter area at the back of his head spoils the shot, just a little bit.

From the portrait point of view (the left half) it's gone a bit "Venture", which I really don't mind - I'm trying to emulate the style myself as a starting point with studio kit - but I know you won't thank me for saying so. Exposure on the pretty lady is spot on.

With the inclusion of the right half, I'm not sure what the image is about. It's different, but doesn't tell me anything.
Suby & Sinem: Oh well, you have said I am all vVenture so not talking to you smile Only kidding, have to be able to drop those Venture type shots for the clients that want it so smile The right half, it'll come to you soon smile
