Brilliant potrait. Yuo are really good with people shots. The DOF is just perfect, the guy is in sharp focus and the girl is blurred just the riht amount.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Navinm, that was the intention when I took the shot,

Suby

Hope things are going good for you.....have a good weekend.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Mike, funny thing is I remember practically nothing of composing and taking this shot, think my flu was at it's height here so was to out of it, working on auto pilot here, glad it came out cool though :d

Nice shot although I usually expect to see something good when I come here smile. Really clean too. I wouldn't have guessed it was ISO 800. I'm also guessing the bokeh was pp work. If it was, good job. If it wasn't... good job on the selection of aperture.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks David, sorry to dissapoint you though, bokeh is all work of the lens, I NEVER add DOF after the shot has been taken, funny thing is I don't know how smile (but easily figured out if I want to tongue ) Suby
Hiya Suby. I am not feeling as benevolent as some of the others - from a purely photographic point of view, this has been spoilt by the inclusion of the girl in the background. It looks as if her hair is growing out of the guy's ear!! By putting soft focus on her this has become quite sexist, as you make her subservient to him and just a prop in the background. Yes of course the artist loves the shot, he really does appear as the big boss here and that always appeals to the egos of these showbiz types. Sorry Subes, had to say it. Have a wonderful weekend. Regards, Neil.
Suby & Sinem: Opinions always welcome bro, All I did in this shot was colour correction, no blur/soft focus added after the shot was taken grin However I do see where you are coming from and me slightly disagree with you (this time), as he is the main man of the video, I think I sorta prefer him being in the forefront and the girl in the background slightly. Not trying to sound sexist or anything, but the girl is part of the "eye candy" of the video and as such perfectly suited for this role. So for these type of shoots, pleasing the client is extremely paramount, he the big guy, the main squeeze, the big kahona and should always be portrayed as that in a situation like this, after all the video is about him/singers & not female equalities grin.

pretty high iso, but anyway, it works....8/10
Suby & Sinem: High ISO as was taken on the video set where lighting was very low at the time this was taken, so high ISO, then dropped shutterspeed as low as I could and begged em "don't move guys" while I took the shot.

Just a quick private comment Subes. After posting my original comment, I had a rethink and saw the image in a different way and picked up the look of admiration/devotion from the girl, a look almost like love. I did not repost my comment until I had read your reply, as I wanted to see if I was actually right and got what you are trying to convey. I stand by the hair bit though!!! Many regards, Neil.
