Suby In The House

I decided to go a slightly different direction on today's image, I see my images tend to genenrate a little bit of debate, over PPed, nicely PPed, cheating with photoshop, why not just leave the original image, can't you get it right in camera etc, etc, etc.

This is a picture of Jamey taken on a walk about Jamey, Jide, Abi & I went on a few months ago. I took this image in B&W and JPG in camera with the intention of sticking to B&W (it's a lot faster shooting those images you know will be B&W this way and all you have to do is a quick curve adjustment to the shot, 5 sec jobby :) ), however while adjusting the curve yesterday, I decided, hey why not do something different, give the folks a bright image...

... but ofcourse things are not that simple in Suby & Sin's House , I am not going to give you a typical normal bright shot, nnaaaaa, not my style, already know how to tick those boxes and it bores me, so why not get a little creative with this evil beast called photoshop.  Well what style was I going  for and what was I trying to portray??? That my dears, is all up to the interpretation of the veiwers, loving or dislking it, it will evoke an emotion.

Jobby Done :)

P.s

I swear I am sane :D

Anyone looking for the services of Suby as a Photographer, you know what to do..... (email me in case some are wondering what. LOL)

looks like a water color shot, I am sure Jamey will like this. I like what you did to this shot, a deviation from your normal images and you still pulled it through.
Suby & Sinem: I really hope he does, yeah a big deviation from the norm, but you know me, I like to change things around once in a while, being a one trick pony does not suit me at all smile Glad you think I pulled it of, truth be told, I wasn't sure tongue

I like this Suby, it almost takes me back to the old pen & ink & film days. And your right, it's all down to the viewers interpretation. Any one remember the old filmed post cards ? I never doubted you bruv, you got talent and you deserve to earn as much bread as you can from it.
Suby & Sinem: Johnny thanks, thanks for the words of encouragement, one thing that really gets me going smile Mucjh apprecaited bro grin

Suby
I like it. I think he is looking for his bus pass.
Suby & Sinem: Maybe he was, Maybe he was LOL grin

Suby
different, i think i like it...pp is weird but just about cuts it for me...one thing that i find annoying is that u cut of his shoes...
Suby & Sinem: Thanks, no excuse for the shoes, was not really concentrating on the shot grin

Suby
so beautiful portrait.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks, me glad you like it. smile

I like this look. Normally, I think shots like this are darker, so it's nice to see the brightness.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Ted, actually thought of going with my usual dark style, but decided to Glad you like what I did here

It might have been a usual man-on-the-street shot (if there is any such term smile) but for the nice postprocessing - I like the charcoal feel this has which made the shot interesting for me.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks, glad it came out as a not so normal man on the street shoot smile

Sorry Suby, this doesn't do it for me at all. It's s snapshot (the cut off shoes annoy me). The processing gives it a different look but thinking back on some of the great street shots you've posted here, this isn't in the same league
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Paul, yeah I know I should have captured the shoes sad, maybe the next shot will make you smile smile

Glad you added that PS in, because I thought maybe, just maybe, you'd gone over the edge a wee bit.

Look, you know I know nothing of pp, but I do so respect all the time you have put into learning and mastering your skills. I love what you did with this image, Suby!! It's very appropriate to the scene, too. I'd like to see more of this if you've got the right images to do it with.
Suby & Sinem: Maybe I have LOL,

Thought you would appreciate an image like this, I don't know why, when I was editing it, I actually thought you may like it, I have another shot already queued up in the same vein as this shot for tomorrow, you may like that as well smile

Suby
Suby my mate, let me add some weight here!!! Not really concentrating on the shot? That is a poor, poor excuse bro, as a true pro, your senses should be finely tuned to pick these things up as a matter of course!! (just a hint of sarcasm to brighten your day, no malice intended!!)

When you go off on a tangent, you don't mess about do you? You and photoshop, once you get started, you just can't stop - like a gambler who keeps on going, your bloody well addicted!! LOL.

The processing is, as normal, very well done, but the problem with the feet (not for the first time btw), leads the viewers eyes astray and that turns this from excellent to good. Please take some concentration pills!! LOL.

Many regards from Darkest Africa, Neil.
Suby & Sinem: Yep, agree poor excuse, but at that point I was soo nackered, lifting up the camera to shoot was a huge effort (me very lazy you see) grin

Well have another shot queued up in this vein for tomorrow, hopefully that shot will tick all the right boxes smile

Haha... I never knew you had this, you sly dog. I'll have to go back and see if I've got any potential candidates from the few I grabbed of you, Abi and Jide. Really like this shot, cheers.
Suby & Sinem: As long as I am looking as handsome as I really am, no probs smile Glad you like bro tongue

Suby
Nice effect!! I like it.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Sarthak, glad you like grin

Suby
That's not Jamey. Jamey is FAR fatter than that tongue
I like this, especially the high contrast look.
Suby & Sinem: He he he he he he he Jon, My guess is you now have to watch your back, Jamey will be out to get you LOL smile

Lol @ Jon. You're dead on the next Whitby meet-up.
Suby & Sinem: Go get him Jamey smile

Suby
Hey Subs. Only you could drum up such a lot of fuss over so little...LOL! It's ok, but goodness me, let's be honest, it's not gonna win any prizes. Is that rain bouncing off Jamey's head, or is it his halo?
Suby & Sinem: What fuss? smile Naaaa it's about the emotions it evokes, look at how much drama me not putting the feet in the picture has caused LOL, me been spanked.

Prizes, eemmm who knows, maybe just for the heck of it I WILL put it in for a competition tongue

I think the end result counts and how you get there, i.e. post processing, camera work, magic incantations, etc. doesn't matter much.

I like this shot, especially the reflections in the wet pavement. His feet have been commented on enough smile
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Martin, and a another thank you for not spanking me about the feet grin

I think this is something I'd like on my wall. A white wall. A nice typical street shot given character by some overblown highlights. Well done.
Suby & Sinem: Where you been bro, thought you was now hiding someweher, anyway welcome back and thanks for the comments smile

Suby
looks like it rained, yet i see no brolly.
not bad
Suby & Sinem: it did rain a lot of times that day, everytime it rained we ran under the shades protercting all our babies smile

Nice one Subster, Jamey looks like some papperazzi gunslinger about to do battle with some celeb coming out of a wine bar or something, I like the way you have treated this one! Those better not have been his best trainers Suby! Or else you in trouble!! wink grin Mal
Suby & Sinem: I hope it wasn't his best trainers too, the would be suing me for leaving them out of the picture by now smile

Glad you like

Suby
Lucky for me I have work being done in black and white by a person that knows how to shoot black and white plus be creative in PS. I to have been critisized for using Photoshop in areas of the forbidden, but that is what people want these days...what makes them stop and say look at that smile
