Suby In The House

This wasn't the image I was going to post up today as I had queued quite a number of images for the week.

Over the Christmas, I decided to stop day dreaming (or was it Sinem got tired of me always salivating over it) about the Canon 1DS Mark II and bought the darn camera (and yes I am now officially broke :(  ) I have to say, totally different from the Canon 20D, it's taking a little while getting used the different settings on a full frame camera.

I took it out today for a quick test drive in Daventry, out of the 40 odd images I took, there were only about 3 images I was pleased with, this is one of them.

What edit did I do? Would you believe me if I said hardly any. Yup, I took the shot, uploaded it using Canons EOS utility veiwer, did a quick sharpen in EOS veiwer and presto, the shot was complete.

Am I in love with this camera or what?

Certain images we post up are available for sale on canvass. If you are interested, please send us an email.

Good really good considering no edit. Looks a bit like the edited pictures you have blogged before - so it can save time having a good one - and since people are going to pay for the weddings ...

About the 1Ds - braggart smile

Oh wow, you got the camera! That is so cool, congratulations. I can't wait to see more from and read more about it here. These colors are wonderful that it captured. They are very rich and warm.

*yeah!!

is this what I have being missing...excellent shot..yes i am going to go back to november as promised
good capturing them behind.
More really interesting work with texture here. I like how you kept your subjects pin-sharp. It's a nice shot also because it gives you a sense of the urban landscape as well. smile
Congrats on the new camera...All the different settings have nothing to do with full frame or not it's just the level of camera itself. A pro camera has a lot more menus and settings than a consumer level camera. I'm still learning new stuff on my D200 and I got it back in June. I only recently discovered that my pop-up flash can remotely control up to 4 off camera speedlights...cool or what? There are so many features on these cameras it will take months to go through them all. I know I haven't used all of mine yet. It can be rather frustrating too in the beginning.

This is an interesting composition, interesting choice of focus too.

Did I say toy, sorry tool
like this one...simple straight city street shot...and a change from the usual stuff...
There's definitely something....the feel of the shot, the underlying quality, warmth and crispness of the image. Your money was not wasted, me thinks. I like the relaxed nature of this photo, Subs. Have you turned a little corner perhaps, I've been noticing a different Suby of late.
