This is a wonderful shot. I really like the post work as well. I think it's a great landscape/nature photo to begin with but the ripples in the water from the ducks just finish it off. It's really nice.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Sparklite; yeah, it was the rippling effect that caught my eye as well. The ducks' afternoon swim. Sinem
interesting very interesting, what postprocessing have you done here?
Suby & Sinem: Hmmmm... let me think... colour correction, curves, sponge, gaussian blur - not all in that order. Sinem
I would like to be in this bird-watcher with my camera set with a 400mm lens.

I'm wondering what the post-processing you applied .
The light spots on the trees look really strange
Suby & Sinem: There was actually a chap in the bird-watcher as I took this shot - sans camera though. I konw, weird winter afternoon light being selective. The treatment is curves, colour correction, sponge, gaussian blur. Sinem
Hi Suby.. It's a really splendid serie you offer to us... I like the work you made to set such colors and effects in the trees and clouds.
Suby & Sinem: Thank you Roland. I'm glad you like it. Sinem
Very creative Suby
Looks like a painting Suby
Suby & Sinem: Thanks but this is Sinem. Sin
Look you two - if you are going to do people-free shots this good, I might as well hang up my camera now!

Apart from the processing you have done, the splashes of pale green really enliven this image. Overall it has an impressionistic feel.
Suby & Sinem: I am a huge fan of Monet and Turner, did I mention that? So that's the best compliment you can possibly give me. Thanks a million. Sinem
chunter's right about the impressionist feel...and i think the contrast between the impressionist bits and the sharper lines is unsettling so im a bit undecided about this one....
I'm not 100% sure of this one. I want to love it and I can see a lot that I do like about it. I love the overall composition and the scene itself is very pleasant. But there are just a couple of things that are a little off for me. The blotchiness is a little confusing and there are 2 rather bright spots in the trees that draw my attention. Maybe it's sunlight on the trees, but it just doesn't feel cohesive with the overall conditions.
Suby & Sinem: Hi Laurie, the two bright spots was the weird winter light falling on the trees at exactly that angle, not a result of pp. The blotchiness is a result of sponge treatment. Just experimenting really. This version is the one Suby liked, I have another pp of this which is my favourite I'll be posting in the next few days.
