Suby In The House

I am currenty accepting bookings for photoshoots for the month of February/March.  Home visits with a mobile studio available on request.

I assisted the Alakija man on a shoot last week, it always is fun shooting with the crazy fella. Anyways, this is a shot of Bunmi who was the "Stylist/Director" behind the shoot. She was such a fun crazy person to work with.

Jide has put up a similar shot of her which can be seen here http://alakija.shutterchance.com/photoblog/54123.htm

This is not a comparison as to which image is better or anything like that, this is my interpretation of a similar scene.

It is always fun when 2 photographers can display their different interpretation of a subject, Jide and I both have our own distinct styles (although he says he does not have "a style"), I think thats one of the things that makes working with the crazy fella soo interesting,

"knowing he will most times see and capture different scenes of the same subject than I would".

I do have to admit, working the the Alakija fella is always crazy fun and I always walk away having learnt something whenever we shoot together.

P.s

Intentional that my AF point was on the fan.

yes, yes u got it right!! This is actually a good remix to Jide's shot. There was something missing when i saw this same shot with the fan and person in focus, but I really didn't know what. But making the fan your AF point did it justice, so now you can actually get the feeling that she is behind the fan. And now the fan and face are not competing for attention...sorry for the long one smile...I am simply loving it!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks bro, I think it is a very interesting shot, so many ways it can be interpretted, Jide has some more awesome shots in his port, hope he does show more of her (as if she is not famous anough already0 wink

Suby, I believe that the different points of view from a same work enrich to the own work, without comparisons, without styles, as you say, points of view. This enigmatic one, the other colorista. Both different.
Suby & Sinem: Jose,
Could not have put it any better :d Thanks.

I like the composition and especially her bright eyes!

On my monitor the edge of the fan is almost indistinguishable from her sweater. This is probably just a calibration issue, but it may still be worth playing around with a slightly greater emphasis on the geometry of the fan.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Martin, will have a play with the image, you may have a very good point there smile

Suby
the composition is awesome!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks you, thank you, thank you grin
