Suby In The House

I am currenty accepting bookings for photoshoots for the month of February/March.  Home visits with a mobile studio available on request.

A couple of days ago I was sat in fron't of the PC and decided to edit some random images, I found myself playing with a series of wedding images and it struck me that they would all look awesome in B&W, so I edited about 20 images of which these 5 where among them.

I love love being able to capture the emotions of any occassion, expecially weddings, it is not just enough for me to go and "take" wedding pictures, I must capture a mood, a story, the people, the atmosphere/mood, the joy, the happiness of the occassion.

I do put a lot of imagination, preparation, thought, work and effort into all and any weddings i cover. I know what type of images I need to capture to be able to tell the story of the day, to be able to fit into the layout of the album (if one has been requested) . A must that I either speak to the couple or I meet them (did not meet the bride in this shot until the day of the wedding :D)  before the wedding day. I shoot predominantly reportage throwing in a bit of those traditional pics that I feel help compliment my work.

Am I an artist? HELL NO, not an artistic bone in my body, but I seem to be relatively okay in capturing people images. I slave hours and hours looking at the works of those that can clearly and rightly call themselves artist for some inspiration, I slave hours and hours reading one photography book after another, I slave hours after hours taking picture of everything and anything, I think of ideas for shoots, I dream photography, I sleep photography, I am awake I see & talk photography (Sad I know lol).

Why, cause I want to succeed at this new profession of mine. It's hard but by Joe, I WILL SUCCEED, I MUST SUCCEED. (how else can I explain still being up writing this at 04:14hrs)

Some people say wedding photographers are way too expensive with their charges, before I got married last year, I thought so, "extortionists, daylight robbery, WHAT!!!!" all sprang to mind when I was told prices for their services. Well now I am on the other side of the fence, I do understand why certain photographers charge so. Will talk more about this tomorrow, I think I have bored you guys enough today.

This collage is nice, if not a bit dark (perhaps because of the small sizes). I am bothered by the guys face being cut off in the photo on the top right.
Suby & Sinem: I actually cut his face off intentionaly when I took the shot (rest assured, I have one with the brides dad in frame smile ) Just felt it was a more powerful capture this way smile

Suby
Well you might not be an artist Suby, but you do know how to capture people in a very good light.
My fav of course is the upper-right hand image.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks for the kind words :d
