Suby In The House

Apologies to all you guys who continue to visit our blog. Sinem & I have not really been giving blogging our fullest attention. Hopefully we will be able to sometime in the near future.

I have been re-evaluating a lot of things involving my photography over the last few months... how & what I capture, what my target audience is, how the image will be edited and presented, how commercially viable is the image or the project etc etc etc. I have also finally been accepted into istockphoto next stop Getty Images, like getting into fort knox I know, but I can dream.

The image above was taken about a week ago when Jide and I where in London handing out leaflets. We noticed some people feeding the birds (bad bad bad people, according to the Mayor of London, no bird feeding) so I whipped out the camera, went for the wide lens and a few clicks later, this.

One of the many images that just jumps up and smacks me in the face (meaning I really am proud I took it),

I hope it also smacks you in the face.

Thanks for visiting and please do visit again.

nice color separation
Cracking image!
This is probably just me, but I think the yellow smiley detracts somewhat from an otherwise great shot.

one of the best shots I have seen from you in a while, this is really good, I might be inclined to agree with Martin about the smiley face, it could be a preference thing. well done
Best face smacking I've had since my early years of forming relationships, movement, content, toning and violence towards feathered rats, great shot.
This is great. Movement & composition well captured. As for that yellow smiley: desaturate until dead!
nice processing.
Love the distortion, cool pp!!

Hey smile I really like the shot and composition, colour/tone, etc. I find the bag a bit distracting in this one and think it would almost be stronger without it but it's still a great capture. the composition is strong so that gives you lots to work with.
The yellow smiley bag takes away my attention from the rest of the scene which in and of itself is much more interesting.

This one is award winning! One of your best, top of the pops! I can't say enough about shots like this one.

Thank you sir, may I have another!
Suby & Sinem: Doug, you know I really really do agree this is one of the best images I have taken. It took me 4 visits to this venue before I was able to get a shot I was happy with, thanks thanks for the comments :d
