Suby In The House

01:40hrs

Sat down at the PC for the 10th hour or so once again at an ungodly hour, books all around me,  MILLION tutorial windows OPEN  on screens, praying my PC does not start to crawl (jeeeez, 3Gigs of RAM is not nearly enough any more) all for what, to learn more tricks and turns about this photography business.

Surfing other photography blogs, websites and what nots, hoping to pick up ideas, see what others are doing, maybe even come across my BIG BREAKTHROUGH (you never know, I can only wish and hope)

Also:

wondering how David Bailey got that "Legendary" tag in front of his name, wondering if I will succeed in photography, wondering, hoping my images do the talking, wondering why people these days want quality images but DON'T want to pay the price for these images, wondering why I am not in bed, wondering is this week going to be more succesful than last week, wondering and hoping my broken boiler will be fixed today, wondering how I survived without Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, wondering am I really going to be up for 08:00hrs today (eeeck), wondering if this week I will finally find myself a Make-up artist, wondering maybe I need a break before I go crazy LOL

Well how do I thus relax? Nope not by going to bed, noo, I decide to have some fun with a few images from a shoot last night. Well these ones jumped out to me, predominantly edited in Adobe Lightroom. then layered in CS2. Hope you all had a great weekend and will have a lovely lovely week.

Suby, I get the feeling you'll do just fine. Your pictures are great and I think sometimes we just gotta relax and learn to enjoy what we do... not get caught up in the minutae. So to speak.

The piece above looks like a professional advertisement. Nice work!

Nicely assembled Suby, good shots to. Mal
great collage
This works for me as an Ad bro nicely done and stop worrying, all you can do is take one step at a time, things have a habit of falling into place when you do that. I like Lightroom as well and have been useing it for some time now but I have to say in some areas that Aperture is a little better even though it's built on Lightroom.
Nice work Suby... Keep it up!
Michael
I am beginning to wonder when you are bloody well gonna stop moaning!! smile smile LOL!! I don't even do this for a living (wouldn't mind making a few bucks though), and I also start to wonder; why am I doing this? It all seems worthwhile when I get the oohs and aahs for a really good image (the genuine awe that is - not the sycophantic "nice pic" type). Bearing that in mind, this is a nicely put together montage, but I can't help feeling that the background photo is too dark, almost like a poorly exposed flash photo. The smaller images however, are excellent as usual, so.......3 out of 4 = 75% correct!!!Ha, ha!! Anyway Bro, get some sleep and look after yourself. Kindest regards to you and Sinem, Neil.
This is very nice how you made this and its a great photocard advertisment but I would put this more into a category of graphic arts than photography even though it contains some interesting shots.
This is something many photographers should do (including myself) to promote their artistry..well done
Very clean and optimist !
A bit chintzy this Suby. The image bottom right you bombed on, it does nothing for her, you can't even see her fantastic smile...

Errr...go to bed, get some sleep, keep your focus....don't take your eye off the ball i.e. earning the money, by doing your day job well.

You've got plenty of time to become a legend, after all you are a legend in your own living room already!

Let Sinem, remind you why you started this. I'm sure she will have some of the rhetoric you need to hear.....
I love your compositions Suby!
I agree about the bkgd pic being too dark, I agree about the forward ones being excellent, and I agree that you probably should go to sleep!
Suby & Sinem: I actually have one where it was all bright and all but that night I was feeling all dark and all so the dark background won grin

Suby! Sinem! It's been a while grin

Lovely collage (not sure about the font used in the "Belle of..."). I'm guessing that's Sinem on the right. Lovely as ever, yes.
Suby & Sinem: Hiya, Mia, yes it is Sinem on the right, thanks for the comment and visit, always appreciated :d

I relate to what you're sharing. I'm not a pro, and I don't expect to be ever, but I've gone through this restlessness having to do with photographic goals, what's it about, what's beautiful, etc. When I look at my photos, I ask, So what? I think it's healthy, and I say live in the moment. What do you want to do TODAY? Don't worry about next week. Of course planning is good, but sometimes letting go is when things happen . . .

Sorry to be so philosophical when we've just met! Thanks for your visits to Flying.
I to wonder about people wanting "A level" quality but are only willing to pay "C level" price.

Very nice composite.
Suby & Sinem: I wonder about them also bro, drives me bunkers when such people contact me for work but don't want to pay, thanks for the comments
