Suby In The House

This is from a shoot I did in October last year. One of the forms of photography that also interest me is Artisitic Nude, not a very easy genre to shoot as it's easily looked down on by some that consider it...... (whats the word I am looking for? lol)

I used to do a "sensible" edit to all my shots back then ALWAYS followed by me just going to town with photoshop on the image. This was very intentional as it was a learning experience & journey for me.

You can veiw the experimental or crazy edited image as I posted it in November here http://subysinem.aminus3.com/image/2006-11-07.html

Yes I know it''s crazy looking but you will be surprised how much I learned just from editing images this way. Anyway this is what the image really looks like.

perfect skin Suby! perfect!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks :d

Suby
Nudes so easily slip into the realm of tacky. You have created some beautiful shots.
Suby & Sinem: Yes it is very easy to get it wrong, glad I was able to capture something classy :d

dude men please send me the psd of this image please I like how you do the borders...help a brother out
Suby & Sinem: I actually never save PSD for the borders, I will have to show you how to do this next time we meet, it's so easy it's laughable smile or maybe I will be doing one later on today and will save it as a psd.
Extremely beautiful image, very sensitive, very beautiful skintones, you are my hero today LOL.

If you are going to explain the borders thing in Photoshop to Layeni, pls help me out too. Do you have some automated actions so that we can really just be lazy and get those nice gallery type borders too?

Of course I have read books about it I am just plain lazy to make an action myself that will work with all sizes of pictures smile
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Patrick, I will certainly put up a tutorial on these borders hopefully one of these days.

Suby
Looks like something from a tasteful magazine. Nice!
Suby & Sinem: Aaawww, as the British say, "me so chuffed" :d

Suby
This shot (and the post-processing) puts lots of style to nude photography. This is "numero uno"!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Tony, so happpy at the positive response for this image :d

An utterly beautiful image, Suby.
To my eye, you have got everything right. The beauty of your model is extraordinarily augmented by the pose, the context, the perspective, the lighting...even the skill with which you have framed it for Shutterchance.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Ray, really really glad the image is liked.

very good work Subster, classy, understated, beautifully produced, beautiful model = beautiful image. mal
Suby & Sinem: Thanks mal, Me smiling huge time here :d

Suby
Well done Suby... a lot of nude pictures are TACKY but this really rocks.
Suby & Sinem: Phew, never want to be seen taking a tacky nude shot smile Glad I pulled off classy here grin

Suby
I am not one for this kind of photography myself.
Suby & Sinem: LOL, yup I know it's not for everyone, apologies, try to enjoy the image though, Not really a fan of flower and insect photography but I have learned to appreciate them :d

Suby
Hey Suby!
Nice one.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks

Suby
Really like it, for me yo've captured her femininity excellently - soft sensual and not TACKY. I daresay the experimented version doesn't really work for me - It's a bit to strong for me! So I reiterate u are my hero today!
Suby & Sinem: The experimental PP does not work for me either LOL, we learn and move on from such experiments LOL. Thanks

Good afternoon Suby. Most definitely Playboy/Penthouse standard of photography: Sensual yet tasteful. The photo is excellent, but I do feel that the frame you have used spoils it a bit; sorry mate, a bit of personal choice there. Still, excellent work. Regards to you and Sinem. Neil.
Suby & Sinem: G Afternoon Neil Sir, I know the frame is not to everyones taste but me likes it, the image for tomorrow has no frame so mabey that will tickle all your senses grin

Suby
how do you stay focused taking shots like these? lol
Suby & Sinem: Easy, I don't see what can distract me when taking nude shots, I have soo many things to think about and get right. It's a job and in the fashion world one tends to see models in one form of nudity or another during shoots, it's just a day at the office for me grin lol

Suby
Not a fan of Nude stuff but I will criitique this for what you said it is "art". Ok lets start from your PP if any, you get 13/10 and same goes to composition. Ok cool off now, dont get too excited smile
1. The frame on the wall coming from a left here is distracting, you should have either asked her to move her head to the left or repositioned yourself to the right. You know hind sight is always 20/20 but during shots like this a photogrpaher needs to stop, take the camera away from the eyes and watch for little things like this.
2. Whats that little thing coming from above her left shoulder? Not that distracting but I would have liked it to be less visible, it really doesn't add to the shot so blurring it out some more would not hurt.
3.Her armpit folds caught my eye, I think her shoulders should have been positioned a little different to conceal that a little...again hind site is 20/20, no guarantees I would have done this better.
Suby & Sinem: Interesting comments, you make some valid points :d

Suby
well done sir, you're making me really thinking bout bringing out mi nudes. a bit reluctant at the moment as I send clients to my blog. dont want to lose work cuz of photo oooo.
Suby & Sinem: LOL, bro, You know I thought about that before I put up nudes, but you know what, I love this branch of photography and my blog is to showcase all my talent, I hope potential clients who visit will be able to see past the fact that there may be some nude images and instead see the images for the art that they may be :d

Suby
Not to long ago a certain fashion photog told me he didn't use lights except in the studio. wink I know you can set a stuio up anywhere which is why I think I need some sort of lighting system because I want to produce shots as good if not better then this. I know it's impossible but a brother has to have something to aim at ! smile

Nice one Suby

J
Suby & Sinem: I once took all my lighting kit to a shoot and just ended up using my speedlite most of the shoot. We had to move between rooms and the thought of moving all the lighting equipement did not look that inviting LOL, well I look forward to these amazing shots you will produce once you get your lighting. Studio lighting I have to warn you is not for the faint hearted grin

Suby
good good...the main thing i like about ti is that its not crude....
Nice nude portrait. I reckon the model would be happy to show it of to friends and family so it counts as tasteful to me. I prefer this one to the b&w pp version.

Es una fotografía tan bella de la mujer que no creo que esto pueda molestar a nadie. Esteticamente muy agradable.!

It is a so beautiful photography of the woman that I do not believe that this can bother to anybody. Aesthetically very pleasant.! [G]
Beautiful lighting. But I somehow liked the experimental one smile
Beautiful work - I like it very much !
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Zebigleb smile

Well done. There's a fine line between tasteful and... (whats the word I am looking for? lol). Photography is used by many to capture beauty and why not the human body!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Jeremey, appreciate the comment
smile

Suby
Beautiful! Love this shot for many reasons! Great composition/framing, exposure, focus, subject - great! Roy
Suby & Sinem: Aaawww, thanks Roy :d

Suby
I like this one because of the sexy woman, maybe try it without the extra boarder and title, just the photo bigger. I think the photo is strong enough without it.
Suby & Sinem: You right :d

Suby
Beautiful shot but did you realise that the text is not centered?
Suby & Sinem: Yup, but for people like us who are not slightly OCD, we don't really mind LOL
