Suby In The House

For the life of me I could not sleep last night so I spent the whole night getting some images ready for clients and just learning some more stuff in Photoshop. Here is something I learnt from a design tutorial recently and just decided to have a try at it, ended up spending 4 hours making sure I fully understood the technique.

I spent so much time on this image because I learned a different photoshop technique about 4 weeks ago and I wanted to use that technique a few days ago and for the life of me I could not remember how I did it. Very frustrating, so I think I will be taking much more time from now on when I learn anything new and brush up on it at least once or twice a month.

Anyway these are the finished results. You can see the original image I used Here

Andy Warhol eat your heart out! Another eye pleasing work from you, Suby. Looks like a cover for a mystery novel, the title reminds me of Stephen King novel but the picture isn't scarey though. tongue

Very nice work Suby, good end result.
How do you make a living from this? How does one go about it?

With SLR's being affordable these days, I can imagine it must be quite a competition to make a living from it, right?

All the best,

Raymond smile
Suby & Sinem: Thanks for the lovely comments Raymond,

Making a living from photography is very very VERY difficult, everyone is a photographer these days. I believe it's being able to deliver quality work and efficient friendly service to your clients, it's also about delivering something unique.

How does one go about it? I wish I had the answer to that, I am stumbling my way through it at the moment, ask me that question again in 2 years, should hopefully have a better answer for you. smile
Amazing effect. Looks like she has turned to stone, a bit like the late Aaliyah in movie Queen of the Damned. Pretty face too (both Aaliyah and your model).
Suby & Sinem: Thanks david, do agree with you sorta reminds me now of Aaliyah grin

Wow... What a strength in that look ! Strong picture !
I see another tutorial coming up smile - very very nice!
Suby & Sinem: Was going to put one up but just too lazy and busy sad Thanks Ade.

Suby
very strong image. I really like the original too.
Looks like a good idea you're working on here - to me the pic looks very unfinished though - but I judge it as practice on a technique, and in that perspective you have done an amazing job getting from your starting pic to this smile
Suby & Sinem: You correct, image is far from finished, I did not notice that until I posted up and I way too tired to care by then (my lame excuse) grin

Where do you meet these women. Hook a brother up will you?. Me is lonely. On a serious note Like the idea, concept and execution.
She looks kind of spooky to me.

120 mins! Sheez - you would have to charge a client a whole photoshoot to make the one pic. The one on the right has less blemishes and for that reason draws my attention more.

Seriously good graphical work.
Suby & Sinem: Tell the truth, I did not notice the errors until I updated (my lame excuse was I was sleepy lol), funny thing is I feel this is one of my worst peice of work cause of that sad
