We are always learning, we spent most of the weekend chilling. We had a friend  (Big Up to her) come over for a visit on Saturday, have to say she was a joy to have around, such a crazy fun extremely warm person and to top it all, we may be (yes maybe) shooting her wedding sometime next year, our 1st WAG wedding hopefully LOL (She going to kill us for that one).

Anyways Sunday was literally spent by Sinem & I in the Study, Sinem finishing up an article she is writing for a magazine, and lazily catching up with work (yeah she still a teacher, at least for now) & I editing and learning more new tricks of the trade. Music playing in the background, Sinem & I sometimes chatting, sometimes working, sometimes goofing around, aaahhh such is a lazy Sunday in our household.

Had learned how to use the techinque above a few months ago but had totaly forgotten how to do it again, so spent a few hours refereshing my memory on this editing technique. At the end of it all this is something we came up with, always lovely to have the wifeys input when I am doing edits.

Photography is all about having fun with the images you capture, I get bored very easily, so I like pushing the boundaries of what I can do or how I can showcase my images all the time. Would love to see more Shutterchancers, having fun with their images. Hopefully maybe someone somewhere out there will be inspired by this shot and start experimenting a little bit more. MAYBE...

nice graphic art me likes, it looks like a CD cover. In response to your comment above I still think playing with images like this puts your image in a diffferent category, I will not necessarily call it photography anymore, I call them graphic art inspired by some good photography and thats my opinion.
Suby & Sinem: For me that a compliment, it does start with taking a good image most times, having fun with an image, be it converting to B&W or making into a piece like the one above is what makes photography fun and interesting to me :d

Suby

This is absolutely stunning, indeed, Suby, but I agree with Dotun that this comes through as a brilliant mix of photography and graphic art. It IS in a different category altogether but is one some may definitely want to imitate or take off on!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Ginnie, We love have a play with images for the blog. we always try out new stuff for blogging all the time and always nice when we pull it off grin

Suby & Sinem
Another masterpiece. great work. Wish I had the patience to sit and do stuff like this.
Suby & Sinem: Yes it does take patience to not only do stuff like this, but to learn HOW to do stuff like this smile

Suby & Sinem
If it is to be defined as a different category, let's agree on it as Photography Plus, for me it is still photography. just like converting to bw just bit more advanced technique. In my opinion to get to graphic art a few more elements would be needed smile

This is "simply" superb photography and post processing, you guys really rock!! Up the ante!!

definitely inspired...
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Patrick, we are really glad that this image is appreciated grin

Suby
Ace !!!!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Bro :d

Suby
Hey, maybe you should run a tutorial on this technique. How about that for an idea? I'd certaoinly like to try my hands on it, though in my case it'd probly be a case of learning to run before I can walk.
Suby & Sinem: This tutorial way to long to write up, will have to be a video tutorial, when I get a hang of putting them together, i will let you know :d

Suby
You D Boss S&S
Suby & Sinem: Awww, thanks Busola :d

Suby
Wow! This is amazing and beautiful, and I can only imagine how painstakingly difficult it must be to achieve this wonderful effect. (:o)
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Rosalyn, did take me quiote a bit as I was relearning as I did it :d
Suby
I love itttt...Suby pls post a tutorial pls..share the knowledge cos this effect is absolutely fab. Or u can always just send the tutorial to just me smile
Suby & Sinem: LOL, eeck the tutorial for this will take way too long to put together but will definitely try to put something simplier up soon grin

For some reason the first I thought of was an album cover for Queen (like in Freddie Mercury's Queen). I guess it is just the name on the picture, or maybe there is something in the style that suggests?

Excellent picture and can maybe sold as an album cover to some group?
Suby & Sinem: We are so glad to get such comments liking this to an album cover, thanks Louis

grin
Suby & Sinem
I like this, and I would have no problem if you made the brown surroundings a little smaller - cause I think the face and processing look great smile
Suby & Sinem: Thanks for the comment Arksel :d

Suby & Sinem

The word that comes to mind here is "spectacular"!

There is nothing subtle about this image. It is rich and complex and highly textured and even your title is proud.

I love it, S&S!
Suby & Sinem: Thanks for the gloring comments Ray :d

your Sunday sounds perfect to me! I really empathise with your problem of having to relearn something like that. But often you learn more when relearning. This was worth the work
Suby & Sinem: We feel the same to, thanks for the comments grin
