"Think photographs should be provocative and not tell you what you already know. It takes no great powers or magic to reproduce somebody's face in a photograph. The magic is in seeing people in new ways."

"There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs." Ansel Adams

These were not models or abstract women wandering into my studio room but women who I have known as people and are real. To me photographing the nude is simply using my camera to sense and feel the pulse of life… I am interested in photographing of women as people, not the photographing of women as stigma, or the photographing of women as flesh or smut or form or any number of essentially superficial aesthetic devices in which the photographer's fragile ego tends to dabble. - Larry Fink, "Views on nudes" by Bill Jay

Thanks for the lovely comments received on the post yesterday, yet another image of  the lovely Lorrin Sara, who is not only one of our favourite models to work with, but also one of the most lovely people we have had the pleasure of meeting. Coolest South African model out there.

P.s
She is not only just beauty boys & girls, she has a degree in Mathematics

This/it/she is my kind of beautiful! And a beautiful woman with a brain even makes her MORE beautiful! grin
Interesting...Not sure what else to say about this one Suby. I say this because I'm not really sure what you're going for. It works for somethings and not for some others.

As a magazine cover I think it does, for a portrait I don't think it's strong enough in expression.

(Trying to make more comments on blogs these days, also trying to be as honest as I can too)
great loop you managed to capture.
Beauty & Brains.... That is a wonderful combo....

Oh i could see the clever look in her eyes all the way tongue at myself.

She is looking right at the viewer - as if she is not only a picture. Great one.
i know this is a weird thing to say but i wouldve liked it slightly softer...its still ane xcellent shot though and definitely one of your best models...
Her look is piercing. Well captured

A beautiful lady indeed and a South African as well!!smile I am sorry though guys, whilst I do think this is a lovely portrait, there is something about the PP here, that spoils it for me, or maybe it's the angle you shot at: her head, somehow does not seem to "fit" with her body. The lighting on her face and the shadows under her nose, just do not flatter her beauty, in fact, the dark shadows look as if they have been edited in. Anyway, have a good weekend even so !!smile smile Many regards, Neil.
Hypnotic eyes and smooth lines, Lovely skin ace shot yet again. Have good weekend.
Love her eyes! Really nice work.

she looks great
She has a very penetrating gaze that reaches right out of the frame.
Suby & Sinem: Yup, we certainly agree on that one :d
