photoblog image Wedding Prayer

Wedding Prayer

Subysphoto

I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance,
A church filled with family and friends.
I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for,
He said one that would make me his wife.

That quote had ME "awwwwiiinnnngggg" as well, S/S.

This is a lovely photo in many ways! Something most of us can relate to. I am particularly drawn to the female (clergy?) assistant. Now SHE would be a model I would gaze upon! For some reason, she actually brings tears to my eyes...maybe because in so many churches today women are not "allowed" to stand at the front and look out on the audience. I have a choir director friend who was allowed to direct the choir with her back to the audience but could never turn around and face the audience to lead them in the singing, just because she was/is a woman. Don't worry, she's not in that church any more and is now ordained. smile

Sorry for the rant.
Suby & Sinem: You are such a softie Ginnie smile Feel free to "reant" anytime, we are not complaining and love reading your thoughts and comments. Have a lovely day grin

love the image. Really think the 'mixed traditions' theme going on is very cute.

...the poem? well you know I am a sucker for love so that got me as well.

That poem says it all.
The photo is very touching, and the poem is absolutely perfect to accompany it.
I like the colours in this one, and I like the detail of getting the candle light in the pic - would love to se all of her weddingdress though...
nice scene Suby, particular atmosphere smile
I am not supposed to be blogging today, but I could not help but click on the thumbnail. I love the composition, on a regular day I would say this looks a bit flat and needs some contrast boost but I am guessing thats the effect you are going for and it somehow works.
