Just back from a fashion show in London, interesting show, held in a night club, lighting not the best, had a photographer stand right in the middle of the begining of the runway on a chair blocking ALL other photographers veiws of the models coming & posing on the runway, club was too full and not enough room to stand & shoot however managed to get some really lovely images. Don't ask how this was managed, got home thinking would not like most of the images, but actually do LOVE most of the images snapped.

Someone asked what type of photography WE specialise in today, the answer each time we get asked this is "High Fashion Photography" so does that mean we are Fashion Photographers???

When we start seeing our images in Vogue (male & female), Elle, Glamour, GQ, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Harpers Bazaar, Vanity Fair (Vanity Fair, aaaaahhhh, one can dream can't we) etc, then we think we would have earned the title

Suby & Sinem: HIGH FASHION PHOTOGRAPHERS.

Until then, we work hard and bang out quality images that are worthy of these magazines.

P.S
Editors of these magazines, feel free to drop us an email :)

Hi S&S
The pictures are nice! There is something extra in these shots that would have been missing if you had been sitting in the official photographer's corral....things like the shadows on the model's legs....I like these extras as they make the picture sfeel more natural and beautiful.

The packaging and presentation is innovative and spectacular.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks ARy, your comment has really made us smile, grin

HA! You've made your own runway walk! Innovative, indeed.

Now, who would wear that, really?? Would you, Sinem?
Suby & Sinem: Well in the world of fashion, the more unique the peice, the more expensive smile So don't be surprised if one day you find yourself wearing this as well lol :d
You have managed to take some fab shots even if the conditions were not as you would have liked. I also agree with Ginnie, dont think i will be buying that outfit. smile
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Tracy, thanks for the commet grin

Lighting may have been bad, but the resulting issues are clear. The overflow of the club is visible as well.

Some questions on this part of your life:
1) Were you on assignment or is it for yourself and if so how do you get them commercially accepted?
2) Do you and the other photographers have some right (e.g. entrance fee) to be there and take pics. At musical gigs you often are not allowed to take pics.
3) Why did that guy who took up the middle possy keep on standing there? His chair should have become wobbly all of a sudden.
Suby & Sinem: Hello Louis, the club was really jame packed, but I think that was good for the organisers, bad for the photographers lol.
1) I am a freelance photographer, most times we get invited to these gigs because the orgainisers know there is a high possiblity we will be able to get the images into magazines. How we get them commercially accepted? In what way?
2) As a rule I never pay to get into these gigs, I need to have access to all areas of the show so beeing a paying guest is not what it's all about. I usually get a photographers pass to such gigs, only way to get the best pictures.
3)Okay that guy, uuummmm. He I have been told was the "official" photographer for the event, for me that does not mean one has to make life difficult for all other photographers. You are soo evil Louis, tongue

Im not an expert of fashion but I can imagine its fun to shoot. Lovely images! To bad there are big bad photographers standing in the way smile)
Little Tan Riding Hood. Like the collage, and how you've captured virtually identical poses in the first and last picture.
Considering the circumstances you two have done very well indeed. I may not know fashion shoots like you guys do but I do know what it's like to shoot in a scrum so well done. Just letting my male side come out a little, she has great legs ! smile Have a good weekend guys.

J
So you guys had a great time!!! ISn't it nice to be in that position, to shoot fashion, and yes hope you guys get there, the Vogue and the Elle etc, hope to get there too!!!
