Evil/Cute

Subysphoto

Now this is a shot we love, but for different reasons, Suby loves it cause the dog looks so EVIL, and Sinem loves it cause she looks so CUTE.  Either way, we both adore the image.  Wonder what you our esteemed veiwers think of this shot. PRAY TELL. lol

Quite a bit of PP work gone into this image, changed a lot, but did not change anything :)

Time to edit 40mins (could not make up our mind on which edit was preferred) :P

Suby & Sinem: Thanks for the visit and the comment Sara grin
I go with Suby here, wouldn't want to come across this fella in an alleyway, or an open field for that matter! Sinem? cute?
Suby & Sinem: LOL, thanks Fehinti grin
devil dog!! Kinda reminds me of Omen (the movie). Scary! But I LOOOOVE the PP. So subtly brilliant smile
Suby & Sinem: LOL, I remember that film devil dog, could not sleep for years alone after I watched it, It did not help we had a couple of Alsatians at home at that time sad
I can't visit you guys...You guys will have to come and meet me some place else. What? It looks hungry and ready for fresh meat! I'm running.......
Suby & Sinem: LOL babes, your comment cracked us up babes grin
Great photo. It looks evil to me, but in a cute way... wink

Great picture! I can see both elements that you mention:
* Sin's "cute" is certainly there in the grin of the dog..you would have draw back the top lip to expose the top teeth to remove that.
* Sub's "evil" comes from the dramatic highlighting of the fur, and from the eyes...it reminds me of the giant wolf in the movie "300".
I think "cute" wins the day on this occasion.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Ray, you are spot on on your analysis grin

Looks evil to me with this processing - colors, contrast, harshness do create mood. I bet he looks cute in the shot taken staight out of the camera.
Suby & Sinem: He looks Evil/Cute still LOL grin

Thanks for the visit & comment

For me, he's neither evil nor cute...but ferocious as in sensing possible danger or ill-will done to himself. He's ready to defend himself. You can see it in his eyes. BUT, if you cover the eyes, he actually is quite cute, indeed, Sinem. smile
Suby & Sinem: Very well said Ginnie :d

Not telling LOL smile
I love the title. It could apply to pretty much any dog as far as I'm concerned, but definitely to this one. wink
Suby & Sinem: LOL, we so agree with you smile Thanks for the comment and visit Karen

Woof Woof. Looks mean to me!!
Suby & Sinem: LOL, THANKS Nick
Sinem finds cuteness in evil .... This is pure evil , but somehow looks like a face wanting to be adored.
Suby & Sinem: Well said Intern, well said grin

devil dog
Suby & Sinem: U remember that film? tongue Scared the wits out of me for years
I think this is a very interesting photograph. The processing seems to have revealed this dog`s distant ancestry. To me it looks strong, confident, and a born survivor. (:o)
Suby & Sinem: It is a born survivor, this is a "street dog" that had puppies, sad sad

I am learning here that the best photos are not about things being portrayed but about the feelings that the image provokes in the viewer. One look at that dog brought me back to my childhood when I read "The Hound of Baskerville" - I imagined it just like that!
Suby & Sinem: We are glad that an image of ours could illicit such thoughts & passion smile We must be doing something right grin

Oh, scary dog
Suby & Sinem: LOL smile
I agree with the looking evil side. As well, I must say it is NOT as cute as most of your models.

My thoughts before I read Ray's comment, was exactly the same as his; Cute mouth and snout, evil, monster vicious eyes. Great work as usual.
Many regards, Neil.
spooky portrait.
amazing shot!
The dog is neither cute nor evil and it looks like Ginnie almost has it spot on but she's wrong. The emotion comes from the pp and you guys have done a marvelous job on it. Out of the camera it would look like the dog has just come back from a little run or it's hot and needs a drink but and this is a big BUT, that dog does not eat soup for dinner ! smile

J
The evil comes from the eyes and the cuteness from the mouth - either the dog is a schizophrenic or you have done some personality altering around the eyes! Good photo whatever the answer tho.
Menacing springs to mind - it looks wolf-like to me. I would definitely approach with caution!
Ingrid
I tend towards the evil look.... but in a good way smile! Nice shot but I can't help but wonder how it would look with a nice contrasty b/w conversion....?
The darth vader of dogs...or wolves? I extremely love those eyes..a sinister but interesting look. A wow for me! Super Nice shot !

ps. I know you will keep us guessing...but please tell us more of this amazing animal. I could be wrong but it looks like a wolf. If it is...were were you standing (hiding)for this perfect shot?
Wow, quite a dog! You captured him (?) right.
I am not sure about cute, but is a very strong portrait of a dog.
Wow... impressive dog with an agressive attitude or is it submission ?

I wonder why this dog is proclaimed as a 'he'. What I look for normally is not visible here. In your comment you indicate a female dog - which is in line with your preference to fashion with human females. Now this model is a bit different.

I am pretty sure she is moving closer to get the bone that the other S is offering while the one S is taking the picture. Since the light yellow eyes is not common for a dog, I guess you have changed the colour in pp so that she looks like the mother of the baskervilles. In the meantime you just don't want someone to come and nick your cute new puppy.

Carzy site this - get a long red message because i call a female dog a b..ch. Always thought that was standard english. And nogal mind the language since there are children that may see the word grin
Wow, quite a dog! You captured him (?) right.

In front of him I probably make a step backward!
But I'm stupid, post processing has just effects on numeric image, not on a surely cute dog...

eeek! spooky!!
Suby & Sinem: LOL, hope you have a good night sleep grin
I think the dog looks rather scheming and mischevious.
Suby & Sinem: LOL, I think so to, she looks to smart for my liking tongue
Evil without a doubt! All the best, Dave
Suby & Sinem: Yup evil seems to be winning grin
