The Tuxedo

Suby Back In The House

Okay very frustrated at the moment.

23:30hrs: My phone line has been playing up all evening. I think I have been up the stairs and down it about 40 times this evening trying to figure out what the issue is/was. Well as the phone line working intermittently, I was wondering how I was going to get my post up for tonight.

I was not going to let a dumb phone line get the best of Suby was I? Managed to get it working just long enough to post this (at least I hope, as I am writing this in Word and crossing my fingers the line will hold up long enough)

I took this shot this evening,  a friend came over with her kids (that's a story for another time though), weather was just right for an outdoor shoot (in this case right outside my door), and off I wonder dragging my lazy ass behind me. Just as I am taking the most boring shots in the world, the neighbours cat whom I named "Garfield" (on account of it being the fattest laziest cat around) wobbles by looking for it's obligatory bowl of milk from Sinem (she ignored him for once, he he he he).

I try taking shots of the little blighter, and can you believe for the 1st time ever, the darn cat would not sit/stand still. Every time I raised my camera it would turn it's head in the opposite direction. After doing this song and dance for about 2 minutes, I sit on the pavement, keep still, sort of hide behind the leaf (or whatever) growing out the floor and I manage to get this one good shot.

Lucky enough I actually feel that the leaf(or whatever it is) works for the shot. I actually wanted to call this shot "Dang Cat" cause of the frustration I felt taking the shot and the frustration I am currently feeling with my phone line, but Sinem said, it looked like the cat was going out in his Tuxedo, CALL IT THAT.  So who am I to argue.

Anyway, seems the phone line is holding up.

I edited this image in record time today, under 5 minutes, really glad how it turned out, what do you think peeps?

I LOVE the title and I am scared of his angry look. Looks like garf is pissed. I would have made sure that brush wasn't there, but seeing how you said he wound't sit still, this is probably the best anyone can do to get a damn cat photo. Trust me, puppies are just as bad, if not worse.

Nice BW and good shot bro. I'm diggin this.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Reza, I would really have preferred if the bush/shrub wasn't there, but everytime I moved, darn cat moved, so I was really stuck on the floor for a couple of minutes before I got this shot. Thanks for the comment as usual smile Suby

I just noticed his paws. SOOOO cute!
Suby & Sinem: I second that, and I am not a cat person smile
Very nice capture, Suby. The BW treatment suits that cat very well. DOF is excellent and the framing is solid. I think you did a find job on this one. I'm interested to hear what you think of my latest photo. Regards, Brent
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Brent, left you some comments earlier today, Bought the camera yet or you still sitting on your winnings? smile

This looks like the cat that walked into my bedroom uninvited.

This is a timless shot. The look on his face says it all.

And the title is perfect.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks, your words are always so poetic smile Suby

What a time of it! Most amusing story. I don't feel all alone in my day now, yesterday. You know, that cat has got a really angry look on his face, what's he got against you?
Suby & Sinem: Think it's cause I'm cuter than it is smile Hey have a lovely weekend. Suby

Awww...Mrow!!!

I think my cat, the Mischief, Missy for short, is fatter, lol.

Nice shot.

Creative title and a nice pussycat! Love his pierching eyes. Like Reza I am not too fond of the bush to the left although it doesn't distract me at all. These little beasties always do what they want, don't they? And of course they never pose exactly where you want them to. After all that's why we love 'em smile.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Ella, nice to finally see you and Seb, you a couple or something? Suby.
Oh thanks for the comments.
Very sharp image!!
Suby & Sinem: Sola thanks
Wow, what a shot. I am seeing a lot of shots of cats lately.
Suby & Sinem: Wonder why. Today seems to be cat day here smile SUby

hehe, my cat does that too, and my son now that I think of it. You got a great shot after waiting paciently - the leaf and the b&w work really well. I really like it.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Faustina, I really had to be patient for this shot. Suby

The toning makes the cat really stand out, and I love that stare it's giving you, but I don't quite like the framing. You've got that plant in front of it, and you gave more space below the cat rather than around its head...
Suby & Sinem: Tried it that way, naaa, did not work for me. However, I'm feeling this one smile Thanks for the comment bro. SUby
Lovely shot. I like the way the cat stands out. Just wonder how it would look panaromic.
Suby & Sinem: Wonder myself, will have a play with it and see smile

Nice shot, it was definitely worth the effort. Looks like he's kind of pissed off about something though, what did you say to upset him? wink
