2 Of The Same
This week, do enjoy some sample portraits of possible images we intend to showcase in an exhibition of our work happening sometime this year. We definitely are still Suby & Sinem - Creative Photographers "Ars Longa, Vita Brevis"

Can't fault the lighting here except for the muddled catchlights. I'd have cropped the pic on the left a bit to avoid the bit of her left eye showing
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Stan, it's all part of the story we believe, these are 2 individual shots, we sorta dislike cropping our images after they have been captured. Get it right 1st time we say
Nice work Suby. Makeup is lovely
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Andriy, you meant to say "nice work Suby and Sinem"
have you seen the NBA playoff ads?
"there can only be one"
Suby & Sinem: Nope but will search on it next time we are on the computer
Theres some emudged brown tone on her chin..maybe the make up? I like the eyes.
loving your series
excellent work as much as i don't see the urgent need for stan's cropping suggestion, i feel that getting it right the first time is overrated in this day and age i, for one, don't think that a 2:3 ratio format is necessarily the ultimate for capturing every single image
Oooooohhhh.. Big debate. To crop or not to crop.
I'm in between on this one. It's clear that they're 2 different images, so I guess it doesn't bother me that they're not identical. I like it.
I like this one, cropped or uncropped. Its strange and keeps drawing me back to it. I can also see the brown smudges on her chin in the pic on the left and even smudgier marks on her chin on the right.
I have learnt so much about edited from you over time, you must be able to repair those smudges. You got it right, the make up artist didn't.
Both are great, but I’d go for the one on the right because it has a bigger impact. Cropping out eye shadow isn't really a good idea.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks David, glad you like what we did here
Very high impact image, Sub&Sin...looks ready to hang, IMHO.
Suby & Sinem: Now you made us smile as this is how we want it to look when hung
well i am no critic so will just say it looks bloody great to me
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Tim, we glad you love this
HA! And all I've been trying to decide is if both images are the same, with one the mirror opposite!
Suby & Sinem: LOL, you wrong Ginnie, these are actually 2 separate images taken at separate times
Looking at the picture again. I wonder if the smudges everyone's talking about aren't more pronounced by blur in post? Are they as pronounced in the original image?
Suby & Sinem: What smudges
Original image, yes there are a lot of areas that had to be smoothened out
Well having gone through my share of retouch techniques before settling down I knew it wasn't just the usual blur.
I've seen this in some of my images so I suspected it was from post. I'm also sure the original has them... it's just that once you've smoothened out a little. The other little things become oh so big. It really doesn't bother me and in any case it's what it'll look like once printed for gallery showing that really matter. IMHO.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks bro, looks awesome in print. Thanks for coming by, do let us know what you think of the other images coming up this week
Nice arrangement, but I'm not so sure about the dark on her chin, looks a bit grubby
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Ellie, the dark on her chin is from the makeup
I'm not sure I like the make up Suby!
Suby & Sinem: LOL, makup was done by the model, not done by a MUA
Great portrait, I like details around eyes and the sharpness here.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Arash, keep visiting 2 more days of the series left
I like the asymmetry and the variation in size.
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Red, we glad you like the images
More strong images, I like the eye make up, at first I thought they were shadows from the glasses
Suby & Sinem: Thanks Nigel, glad you feeling these images
nice image suby...but it seems you have a thing against cropping images...ME? IF I DON'T NEED IT I'M DEFINITELY TAKING IT OUT
Suby & Sinem: LOL Ada, naa, it's just cropping of images in itself is a science, drives us bonkers when it is done and the crop is all over the place. Also it's a good thing to learn to take the pics as perfect as one can when starting out. Imagine you have done some work and taken 300 images, hope you ain't going to waste time cropping a large number of the images? So IF YOU DON'T NEED IT, WHY TAKE IT IN THE 1ST PLACE (Like duhhhh!!!)
